Obviously something that both you and I find rather interesting.

I'm interested in demography in general so mob demography really fascinates the hell out of me.

The coming big decline coincides with my own aging and eventual departure from this world, too, which makes it even more, uh, poignant I guess?

As I've said before, the real twilight will come when the guys born in the 70s are themselves old men, which will be the same time I'm an old man (born in 1979).

That doesn't mean there won't be capable mobsters younger than the 70s generation guys. There's probably some Staten Island kid born in like 1997 who's both a psychopath and a criminal genius, or young guys who roughly fit such a description. But they'll be rare exceptions amid a legion of 85-IQ pillheads and similar.

More interesting to me than which Cosa Nostra members attended his funeral is whether 'ndrangheta affiliates were there. His association with them is well-established at this point.

He apparently said in an interview about his restaurant that his father was from Calabria and Toto posted years ago that an Italian investigation showed Vincenzo Roccisano's nephew was involved in a serious relationship with Federici's daughter.

The Gigliottis that were busted in 2015 in a 'Ndrangheta linked coke ring were allegedly on record with Federici. Federici or Romanello was said to be financing the operation.
