Yeah it took DeMeo earning a lot of money for the family, as well as Gaggi’s support, to convince Castellano to make him.phatmatress777 wrote:that part is true ... I remember reading that Gaggi tried to telling DeMeo that there were benefits to just being an associate rather than a made guy.

All roads lead to New York.
Re: DeMeo crew hits list
I never realized the age difference between DeMeo and his young crew. Seems like he didn't have a hold of some of his guys, man were they killers or what? The "Hit List" really puts it in perspective, it's surreal, this crew must have been talked about a lot, why anyone would want to hang out with any of them or go near them is beyond comprehendable. No wonder why they just hung out with themselves lol

Complete psychos, they killed women and civilians and couldn't care less. Theres an old thread on GBB where someone who knew the crew personally and described how they were actually pretty well-liked in the neighborhood by the residents and how they were somewhat perceived as vigilantes. They were probably the worst crew in mafia IMO.

He was not. Like Phat said earlier he grew up in Flatlands and went to high school in marine park. Nowhere have I ever even seen it mistakenly said he was from Bath Beach until now.E. There was even an old timer called Johnny Bath Beach.
You are thinking about Nino Gaggi.

From a law enforcement point of view you could be right but in mafia terms they were earners and workhorses basically the best you could hope for minus the cocaine.NE1020 wrote:They were probably the worst crew in mafia IMO.
