Re: DeCicco
Going over some older Sammy youtube channel episodes, I didnt remember Sammy hating Jimmy Brown. Funny to see him bring up old beefs.

Makes sense...there was talk Jimmy Brown was in on the murder of Frank(which was meant for Gotti). He had a great rapport with West Side. Probably would have been tapped as boss if Gotti regime was taken out.

What book is that from?Eld wrote: ↑Wed May 25, 2022 4:28 pm I don't think Sclafani had anything on DeCicco or else the outcome would have been diffrent. Even Tommy Bilotti called him an idiot infront of his cousin Joe Corrao, and the FBI agents called him "260 pounds of noise and ineptitude".
Gus Sclafani made the rat accusation, perhaps out of anger towards DeCicco, and couldn't back it up.
If nobody sees it, it didn't happen.
Re: DeCicco
Jimmy Brown should've been boss. He should have killed gotti and brought in 50 zips. He shouldve run the family with Danny Marino and JOe n gallo or Sammy and Decicco shouldve killed gotti and run the family low keyJoeyboy1982 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 9:03 pmMakes sense...there was talk Jimmy Brown was in on the murder of Frank(which was meant for Gotti). Re: DeCicco
Kind of hard for Gravano to run the family low key when he’s out there committing 19 murders. I know he wasn’t super talkative on wires, especially when compared to Gotti. I’m not sure you could call the way Gravano operated “low key” if you compared him to other bosses and/or families of that time period. To me he was similar to Casso with the way he leveraged his position in the family to gobble up money and rackets - not sure that anyone would call Casso a “low key” operator during his time on the streets.CornerBoy wrote: ↑Mon Oct 17, 2022 7:40 amJimmy Brown should've been boss. Per the DiLeonardo testimony, as consigliere, Sammy was directly involved with a lot of construction and didn’t have a ton of insulation there because he was so greedy with gobbling up the various construction rackets from other Gambino family members - there was even Gotti in the tape mentioning how Sammy was so involved and rhetorically asking if he wanted to become a capo with a crew under him.

Agree.
The murder of the guy who bought his nightclub, some whackjob, but they hit him in broad daylight, and the attempted murder of the biker, again, middle of the street.
Hardly a low key guy.
Was a case being built by the Feds against Sammy before the Gotti tapes? Was he being investigated, followed, surveiled?

Don't give me your f***ing Manson lamps.
Re: DeCicco
Any more info on if deccico was a informant. I mean that guy with the paperwork from the courtlady would have sealed his fate. I wonder how he talked his way out of it to the bosses
Re: DeCicco
I mean Paul wasn't the least but concerned if he was still meeting with deccico daily. Even the day he died at sparks
Re: DeCicco
FBI reports from the 80s make it clear Sammy was on the FBI's radar and they were aware of his rise. Informants described him as having a vicious reputation and being focused on construction, pretty close to what we know.SonnyBlackstein wrote: ↑Mon Oct 17, 2022 10:39 am Agree.
