Re: Madison 1963
So in addition to two Troia->San Giuseppe Jato marriages, the father's naturalization witness Paul Corona was from SGJ. Further suggests the family was originally from there or otherwise connected to SGJ as the surname suggests.

Great photos, Cav.
Given his early association with Musso, do you know if Pietro Gargano had any subsequent links to Rockford?
Gargano relocated to Waukegan/North Chicago, which also makes me wonder if he was connected to Joe the Crow Corso, who we know was connected to Waukegan.
I note that in 1947, daughter Marie Gargano married Joseph DiSalvo, son of Andrea DiSalvo.

To my knowledge and research I haven't found a connection to Rockford regarding Gargano. I did notice that Ciro Gargano of Waukegan was involved on the periphery of the Chicago Outfit and was housed in the Rockford jail in 1974 and given preferential treatment by the Sheriff's Department. There absolutely has to be a relation there.PolackTony wrote: ↑Wed Oct 12, 2022 5:55 pm Great photos, Cav.

Ciro Gargano was the son of Pietro Gargano, born in 1928 in Madison. He was definitely connected to the Chicago mob. He was locked up when that scandal happened at the Winnebago County jail in 1974 (which was hilarious, as Gargano was reportedly getting lobster and steak dinners in jail and permitted to maintain an apartment outside of the jail) for being pinched in a Colombo/Chicago stolen stock certificate ring headed by Greg Scarpa and Tony “Poolio” DeRosa of Chicago. So the Garganos seem to definitely have maintained connections to the Chicago and Milwaukee outfits at least.
BTW, these Garganos are totally unrelated to the Chicago Mike and Henry Gargano, of heroin dealing and cop-killing infamy (their family was Lucano).

I looked before asking this, if I already asked I apologize, but what's the boss succession?
Re: Madison 1963
Without looking at my notes I believe it was:
1930s-1950s Benedetto DiSalvo
1950s-1973 Carlo Caputo
1973 Diabanded
1930s-1950s Benedetto DiSalvo
1950s-1973 Carlo Caputo
1973 Diabanded

Re: Madison 1963
Probably not useful for the chart, but I came across this Carlo Caputo's obituary recently. Never saw a clean pic of him before
Re: Madison 1963
Great find...I had never seen another picture of him other than the blurry one where he's in a hat. I have met his son Tom a few times before and he's shady as shit. He had some business dealings in the Rockford area and ran a restaurant for a while too.

From a 1979 Minneapolis Star Tribune article on OC in MN. I'd assume that these Terranovas were relatives of Candela from Montelepre. When looking into a few things previously, I had noted that there was a definite colony of Monteleprini in Grand Rapids, MI, including some Candelas.

Some other info I came across stated that the Terranovas were nephews of John DiBella. Apparently, Joe Bonanno had a reference to the Terranovas in the notes that investigators recovered from his trash in Tuscson in 1979. That same year, Jimmy Quasarano and Pete Vitale of the Detroit outfit were indicted for extorting the Terranova’s company, F&A Cheese.PolackTony wrote: ↑Mon Oct 24, 2022 12:46 pm From a 1979 Minneapolis Star Tribune article on OC in MN. Angelo and Francesco DiBella arrived to Grand Rapids as youth from Montelepre in the 1940s, and founded F&A Cheese there in 1958, reportedly with a loan from DiBella. I have John DiBella’s mother as Francesca Terranova, so I’m not sure if he was technically their uncle or cousin.
