Tony Lee

Post by Browniety86 »

Was Fat Andy Ruggiano Tony Lee and his brother Mikey Gal's capo? Watched a semi interesting YouTube video where Fat Andy's son interview Tommy Flash More and they talked alot of Tony Lee, but I didnt catch who he was under? Was he a hitter? He seemed to be close to John Sr...I'm just going off memory but for some reason I'm thinking Andy Ruggiano wasnt their captain and they were with a Jersey based crew...

I think Ruggiano was one of those really strong made guys that were viewed as captains but really weren’t

I'm pretty sure Ruggiano was a captain when he went on the lam in the 80s...

I think Fat Andy was a captain like Scarpa was a captain. Was he? Wasn’t he? He probably was. Yet he wasn’t. It seems like a lot of unknown. Not sure why all the uncertainty on his status however.

My vote is he was a captain at some point.

I don’t think Fat Andy was a captain, he had a crew like Bruno Facciolo had a crew. A ton of really capable guys under him and several got straightened out eventually but it wasn’t a decina. I thought all those guy started out under Charlie Wagons.

That'd explain why Gotti was close to Ruggiano...

Gotti also wanted to make Tony Lee a Captain, but Tony Lee declined. Tony Lee didn't tell Gotti or anyone else he had health issues at the time. This is according to Anthony Ruggiano on his Johnny and Gene Show appearance.

I've never really thought about why Tony Lee wasnt a Gotti captain. Makes sense, he died not long after John got the life bit...

Tony Lee went on trial with getting for ordering the shooting of that union big. Was that before or after getting became boss. I think after. Pretty telling the boss is giving orders to a soldier. He must have been respected

Who’s crew would Andy be in? Charlie Wagons? And I think his own said that he wasn’t actually a captain he was just a really respected mobster with a big crew. He said he was reluctant to propose them because he saw the potential
Some of the guys had until much later on

Ruggiero was sponsored for membership by Carmine Fatico.
