Re: Visiting New Orleans
Giuseppe was deported too -- he was sent back to Italy in 1955 and came back, but was deported again in 1961. Later he returned and was living in NYC.
Be great to know if he kept his NO membership or transferred.

Re: Visiting New Orleans
You can scratch :
-James Brocato (died in 1957)
-Guido Feraci (died in 1957)
-Salvadore Gallo (died in 1962)
-Vito Longo (died in 1957)
-Frank Todaro (died in 1944)
-Salvatore Vitale (killed in 1957)
I'm not sure of his DOD, but Vic Gallo died in the early 60s (according to a contact of mine 1961)
It looks 1957 was a tough year in New Orleans underworld
I think Luca Trombone is Leoluca Trombatore
Also listed in 67/68 : Felice Galino (Marcello's uncle), Frank Ruffino & Salvatore "Sam" DiPiazza

Re: Visiting New Orleans
Need more info on Chris Petti.
Looking up Sal Alongi, correct spelling Alonge, it says he was worn in Palermo. There is a family tree which shows that his father was baptized in Sciacca, his uncle born in Ribera and his grandfather was born in Sambuca. His mother was from Caccamo.

Re: Visiting New Orleans
Vincent Anfara is traceable but unfortunately his parents arrived in the 1880's and were listed as "Italy." There were other Anfara's in Detroit from Partinico. The moter's maiden name Pusateri is associated with Termini Imerese.

Re: Visiting New Orleans
Joseph Barlotta's father was born in Nola in in 1856, his father Baldassare was born in Trapani in 1824. His mother Estella Battaglia was born in 1860 but can't find where. They both lived in New Orleans but moved to Birmingham in the 1880's where they had a few children and moved back to New Orleans in 1892.
There's also a suspected member- Anthony Barlotta, that could be Joseph's bro (1892-1971) who was born in Birmingham or it could be his son (1919-1990). One FBI report labeled him Jr, which would make make him Joseph's nephew.

Re: Visiting New Orleans
Nino was only 19 in 1963, so doubt he was made at that time.
Re: Visiting New Orleans
The Chris Petti from California who was an associate of Tony Spilotro and Bomp? He was Greek. According to his obit he Christopher George Poulos, April 1, 1927, in Illinois, and died on December 31, 2005, in Chula Vista, California. His actual surname probably wasn't Poulos, but something longer like Poulopolis.

Re: Visiting New Orleans
That’s weird. Maybe a different Petti, or does the info have him specifically as the Chicago guy? He moved from Cicero to CA in the 70s, I’m not aware of any connections to NOLA. As Antiliar commented, he was 100% Greek and apparently gave himself an Italian fake surname.Chris Christie wrote: ↑Sun Sep 11, 2022 11:09 am Chris Petti was listed on the NOLA lists as a suspected member in the 60s.

Re: Visiting New Orleans
Has to be a completely different guy. I don't recall Petti having any connection with New Orleans

Re: Visiting New Orleans
Yeah, Chris Petti was a mistake on my part. I only have a Chris Albano, don't know where I got Petti from. Sorry. False Alarm
