Were Corallo, Santoro, Tramunti and Ormento crews always separate crews since '31 or did they go through a period of mixing and matching?

Re: Visiting Lucchese 1963
Works, when I did the Gams I broke them down by neighborhood, I'll do the same for this and Colombos. Amazingly most of the Gens can be crewed and you and kid are crewing up the Bonannos. We work with what we have.
Re: Visiting Lucchese 1963
The NJ guys I listed were all with one crew, so either way they're grouped they'll be together.
Same thing with Vario crew. Most of that crew was in Brooklyn near Queens. I forgot Carmine Taglialatella who was an East Harlem-based member of that crew but not sure when he fled to California and was more or less on the shelf.
Little Italy crew is easier to figure out later when it's one decina, but no idea how it broke down since both Plumeri and Giampaolo are listed here and operated in that area.
Have to leave Bronx, East Harlem, Queens, and Long Island to someone else. They all run together and I know little about them, will be interesting to see where those guys come from.

Little Italy -- a few of these guys may have moved elsewhere by 1963.
?-Salvatore Benanti - Marineo, Palermo (likely the "Dutodo" Benanti ID'd as a member by an FBI source)
Charles DiPalermo - Marineo, Palermo
Joseph DiPalermo - Marineo, Palermo
Peter DiPalermo - Marineo, Palermo
Frank Dioguardi - Baucina, Palermo
John Dioguardi - Baucina, Palermo
Thomas Dioguardi - Baucina, Palermo
Ciro Giampaolo - ?, Palermo (not sure if province or city)
Joseph Lagano - Calabria
Carmelo "Willie" LoCascio - Baucina, Palermo
Peter LoCascio - Baucina, Palermo
Frank Nuccio - San Giuseppe Jato or San Cipirello, Palermo
John Nuccio - San Giuseppe Jato or San Cipirello, Palermo
Vincent Nuccio - San Giuseppe Jato or San Cipirello, Palermo

Re: Visiting Lucchese 1963
Don't know if he was in the NJ decina, but another NJ-based member was Salvatore LoProto. I think his family came from Marineo but couldn't confirm. He was erroneously listed on a chart as "Salvatore DiPalermo" which might lend itself to the Marineo tie.
I don't think it's a coincidence Antonino Cecala was a high-ranking Morello member from Baucina. Along with the later guys from Baucina, Marineo, and San Giuseppe, there were a number of older guys active with the Prince Street faction (deceased by this time) who came from those villages. Eld had a good list here if anyone's interested: https://theblackhand.club/forum/viewtop ... 52#p186352
Also interesting Joe Silesi got misidentified as a Lucchese as he was originally from Manhattan with heritage in Marineo.

Re: Visiting Lucchese 1963
Salvatore Mauro came from Baucina and Loiacono came from Marineo, so interesting to see the continuity.

Re: Visiting Lucchese 1963
John Ormento: B. Giovanni Ormando in 1912 in NYC to Gaetano Ormando and Concetta Cala, both of San Cataldo, Caltanissetta. As of 1940, lived at family apartment at 217 E 107 (3rd Ave) and stated that he was unemployed.
A family friend of mine who is almost 100 and grew up in East Harlem told me that 107 St was “all Sicilians”. That’s the impression of someone from the neighborhood way back in the day, at least. She also personally knew Vinnie Rao and had family connections to a bookmaking operation by 107 and 3rd run by Lucchese guys.

"Hey, hey, hey — this is America, baby! Survival of the fittest.”
Re: Visiting Lucchese 1963
We talked about it on a call, but Vinnie Mauro's father was another Salvatore Mauro from Baucina so I'll be curious to see if others from there ended up with the Genovese or if they tended to go with the Lucchese. Either way might show that common root like Corleone.
CC found the Gambino LoCascios were from Baucina like the Lucchese ones. On the Ravenite tape where LoCascio talks about being made very young Gotti's comments suggest Frank had older relatives in the life.
Re: Visiting Lucchese 1963
Anyone seen anything about Gaspare Mangiaracina?
He's on one Lucchese member list from the 1960s, though it's from a set of lists that have a few errors.
Newark underboss Sam Monaco's business partner was a "C.Mangiaracina" which could have been Newark resident Calogero Mangiaracina from Camporeale, but no way to confirm. Wondering if it could have been Gaspare Mangiaracina given the Vita/Trapani guys close to Monaco ended up w/ the Luccheses.

Re: Visiting Lucchese 1963
Here’s a possible member: Angelo Taccetta
- He’s listed as a member in a 1983 report (https://books.google.ca/books?id=12hHAwjxXgYC&pg=PA257)
- He was born in 1921, even though he wasn’t really on lists from the ‘60s, I’d speculate that he would have been made in the late 50s rather than the 70s.
- This was his census information (https://www.ancestry.ca/discoveryui-con ... 22294:2442). His family was from Villarosa, Enna, Sicily.
- He was Michael and Martin’s father.
