After hearing the evidence they has against Dion I'm surprised they didn't go with other charges against him that may be a lesser sentence but more likely to convict. Think most of it was just hearsay from the informant and the tapes from Viau. Viau on the other hand was done the second they played those tapes.

Looking back at some of these articles and I know we already figured this out but we can consider it practically confirmed that "Brad Pitt" has to be Jonathan Massari:

Arrested are: Jonathan Massari, 38, Dominico Scarfo, 47, Guy Dion, 48, and Marie-Josée Viau, 44. According to the Journal de Montréal, Dion is the fire chief in Saint-Jude, a village of about 1,200 people 70 kilometres northeast of Montreal. Viau is Dion’s spouse, and she is also the sister-in-law of Massari, the newspaper reports.

It must be said that a last defendant in this case, whose identity is covered by a publication ban, must undergo a jury trial in September. A jury deadlock at Dominico Scarfo's trial, or an acquittal, could have had a significant impact on this upcoming trial.
