Really hard to picture him straightened out, the whole point of being straightened out is to not have to work like a slave lol

The only way any of these philly guys have any 'scarole is if they have a huge gambling package and have 5-10 million on the street as a group.

He may have an IRA, insurance policy he can borrow from or cash out, stocks/investment()/real estate, etc. Unless you know from a source. I see your what your saying though that ppl in that life typically don't have that type of preparedness for retirement, no 401k employer matching plans and such lol
[/quote]

yeah, sorry i wasn't clear. never met a philly wiseguy or have a source for mazzones finances lol

He would give you the shirt off his back and is by far the classiest gangsters around. Picks up checks for people he knows and brightens up the atmosphere. So do your research before you spew nonsense. Also hes facing 45 to 60 months not some crazy number a few of you are predicting

I don't think anyone said he was a scumbag, just that it's unlikely he planned well for retirement

The only person I think has any real scratch is Uncle Joe.

If i recall, Servidio said on a tape that he needs to make 200-250k a year to live how he likes to live. I doubt he pays taxes on anyway near that amount, so it's safe to say that if he was making around that amount of money that he's able to spend roughly that amount.

For any of these guys, not paying federal taxes and losing 30-40% of every dollar you make is a pretty big deal to your bottom line

I'd say mazzone probably makes 5-8k per month from protection kick ups (based on borgesi making around 3k per month from monacellos payments while he was in prison)

Plus probably 5-10k per month in shark income
Plus 5-10k per month from his crew kicking up from various things
Plus maybe 5-10k a month from quasi legit stuff like real estate, contracting companies, "personal training", or whatever he's got his hands in (ligambi made 5k per month from a no show job for who knows how long)

So I'd say if he's on the street he probably does anywhere from 20k to 40k per month on a good month.

You can make a shit load of money in real estate in South philly, both legitimately and Non legitimately (see the Sharkey indictment) and most of these guys that have been around a while are all pretty plugged into the locals and the local scene.

I'd bet borgesi is making 500k-$1m annually considering his real estate involvement. It's not unlikely Joe pung is making around that too almost entirely legit flipping deals

Ralph Natale testified that he was making 3,000-3,500 a week as Boss. So 144,000-168,000 a year. Adjusted for inflation 264,000-309,000 in 2022. Though we must keep in mind that Natale had his own drug trafficking operation that brought in a lot of that and the family was also collecting a weekly street tax from 40-50 bookmakers that he got a piece of. Today the street tax is largely non-existent in Philly. Looks like the video poker machine racket is also significantly reduced compared to what it was bring in in the 1990s-2000s.

A moot point since his info in supported by plenty of other evidence. Philly post Scarfo is just not a big money operation. Low six figures for the very top guys is the standard.

Uncle Joe had a sh*t ton of joker poker machines and I believe Anthony Staino had a business and they forced the sale on other vendors so Staino can buy them on a discount. They can generate over $100K/yr just one machine depending on how many hours is played a week. I am part of a VFW club and I am somewhat familiar with the machines-not joker poker specifically but similar and its the only thing that non members (pay dues/monthly) can utilize....I wonder why. Everything else food drink other game(s) etc cost money on top of the dues

Fyi-those machines are not difficult to calibrate. At the older ones that you buy used. If you buy newer ones from IGT or something idk how that tech works but the older ones...

That's true, 150k largely untaxed would be equivalent to making 220-250 or so legitimately
