Joey DiBenedetto told John Pennisi that he hasn’t visited Vic Amuso his father in law, in over 15 years by the time it was 2017
They fell out over something personal but Pennisi refused to disclose it out of respect for Joey

Based on the recent Mob Archaeologist episode on the Joe Masseria and the Genovese Family formation, I think further expansion on how Masseria acquired these independant operators (i.e. Luciano, Genovese, Boiardo, Pellegrino, Terranova etc). And how that lead to the power and operating style of this organization. Also how these mainlanders, who were outside the traditional mafia network system gained there initial influence and its impact on how the mafia transitioned into a more americanized form.

Armand 'Tommy' Rava probably took over Vincent 'Jimmy' Macri's crew in 1954.

Macri was described by one informant as one of Anastasia's bosses in Brooklyn. Another informant described Benny Macri as a member 'under' Vincent Macri.

Great find. Macri was definitely important in the Calabrian network -- his daughter married the son of Ripepi of Pittsburgh.

Paolo Gambino broke off from Castellano crew in 1967 and also likely inherited a few members of Vincent Corrao's crew in 1970 (Antonio Indelicato). The Riccobonos, Peter Castellana, and probably Vittorio Masotto were members of Paolo's crew.

In early 1974 Tommy Greco was demoted/stepped down as official captain and Antonio 'Hickey' DiLorenzo became official captain with Rosario 'Sally Young' Palmieri as acting captain. In Fall 1977 Palmieri took over the crew.

That is not very likely, bn. Hickey DiLorenzo was under Frasca and his acting captain while Frasca had legal worries in the late 1960s. DiLorenzo stepped down in 1969 when he got arrested. He was in jail in the early 1970s.

Greco had used Joe "Lefty" Loiacono and Joe Lapadura (at various times) as acting captains until he stepped down. But it looks like Palmieri took over this crew at some point. In the early 1980s, Joe "Lefty" Loiacono is an official captain but I don´t know if Loiacono (formerly under Greco) was a direct successor of Palmieri or was simply given another crew.
There you have it, never printed before.
