He will have almost no income for 5 years, no ira, no 401K.

The only way any of these philly guys have any 'scarole is if they have a huge gambling package and have 5-10 million on the street as a group.
Q: What doesn't work when it's fixed?

He may have an IRA, insurance policy he can borrow from or cash out, stocks/investment()/real estate, etc. Unless you know from a source. I see your what your saying though that ppl in that life typically don't have that type of preparedness for retirement, no 401k employer matching plans and such lol

I could be wrong but doesn’t Mazzone own a personal training company?
That’s the guy, Adriana. My Uncle Tony. The guy I’m going to hell for.

He listed "personal trainer" as his legit source of income but I don't think he owns a gym.

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

I'd like to think that the guys at the 'top' and guys in their 50s who have been in the game damn near their whole lives and have already done prison time, have something set up that they can draw income from later in life or if they get locked up again. It's a lot easier said than done, and unless it's a legit job, a business that does well, or something they inherited - it would take a little bit of money to set up or get off the ground... but jesus christ.. if guys like Mazzone are living week to week with everything being variable on what was kicked up or what he was able to scam off someone... that's kinda crazy. A lot of these guys... Philly and even in New York... were essentially grandfathered into being able to live a decent middle class life just off the strength of (blood) family connections, older people down the line owning property and getting established, etc. - these Philly guys who still live in the city, a lot of them are living in homes that have been in their families forever...not the places that cost $1.2MM to buy today. Things like that help...

The guy John Rubeo was saying that Merlino kinda lived score to score, still, even with a kid in a very expensive private University - but part of me feels like Merlino was making him believe that, in order to glom on to him and take more money from him. I think the perpetual vacation that a lot of these philly guys seem to be on is also subsidized by other (blood) family members and everyone else around them; I doubt they are paying out of pocket to stay at the Shore, paying out of pocket for drinks/dinners, etc - from everything that's been said about Merlino he almost has a physical aversion to paying for things and paying people. It's kinda funny

What are the chances the made Philly guys who are always at the Shore and in pictures and stuff, have given the guy Blavat a single dollar, for gracing his club with their presence. Them and all of their friends and family members. The regular beach goers are paying the freight for that I think. I think it works similarly with just about everything else these Philly guys do. It's not that they're killing it and pulling down a ton of money and are out on the town every night spending tons of dough - they're entitled, calling in favors, and coasting on reputation

So you people on here have it wrong!! Steve Mazzone is one of the most generous guys around! Hes an unbelievable family man! He would give you the shirt off his back and is by far the classiest gangsters around. Picks up checks for people he knows and brightens up the atmosphere. So do your research before you spew nonsense. Also hes facing 45 to 60 months not some crazy number a few of you are predicting
