Didn’t Borello claim there was a Bonanno member that got shelved fairly soon after he was made because he was putting dumb shit on social media about moving bodies and stuff? Or did the guy just get threatened with being shelved? I can’t remember the specifics.

Jerry Asaro decided to shelve Palmaccio for the shirtless internet photo. Vincent Asaro was recorded telling Valenti that Jerry didn't have the right to shelve Palmaccio, only the boss could do it. Jerry attempted to drive Palmaccio out of the neighborhood and Vincent Asaro told Palmaccio to sell his house.

Yes, this is was all because of a shirtless internet photo.

Vinny Asaro's quote "What is he even doing on the Internet?" is an all-time mob classic.

I don't know if the admin approved of the request to shelve Palmaccio but that was the plan and he was definitely ostracized for it.

Pennisi claimed that Ralph Balsamo brought James Delio around him while he was shelved. I don’t know how he came to know that, since he wasn’t a member at the time, but it goes to show that sometimes the shelving order is not as observed as it should be. If anything, I’d guess it creates problems for captains when their manpower is scarce.

Well like I pointed out…. Mancuso shelved all those guys bc he didn’t want them to overtake the family.

It’s basically the whole “other side “ of the Bonanno fam…. So it’s not like these guys were shelved on year then another a different time…. He shelved them all at once. Basically eliminating his rival faction that was in power at the time AND beat there trial that no one thought they would.

And obviously as many ppl have pointed out in the past the west side changes leadership positions and ppl all the time

I believe it was either Michael Palmaccio or Michael Padavona. Another thing that factored into the shelving was the fact he uploaded a picture of himself wearing speedos.

I also think he taken off the shelf very quickly, which shows how much of an organisational mess the Bonannos were at the time, not just on an administrative level.

You'd have to wonder how many guys get into trouble due to their conduct on SM.
