Questions for Massino that Scott could ask..

Re: Questions for Massino that Scott could ask..
If I remember right, Massino said Sciascia did call TG out for drug use but Massino looked into it and TG denied it but was cautioned not to use drugs. He said it wasn't the reason for the murder either way.
Michael DiLeonardo was also aware of Graziano using drugs so it wasn't just Sciascia who thought it.

These are all good questions but something I think we all need to take into account is that Massino was a reluctant informant. I don't see him going into much beyond the information he already gave. So it may be best to keep these questions simple and specific.
I think asking: "Did Buffalo exist while you were boss" might get us a yes if we're lucky. But asking him, "How many times did you talk to Todaro, where did you meet and who did you send" may make him avoid the question. He never wanted to turn informant and may not want to cause any problems for Todaro, regardless of whether or not he ever met him.
That "yes" would tell us that Buffalo always existed and didn't go defunct and then reformed later on, which would be great information.

We already know Buffalo was functional during Massinos day. The question is are they still so in the present day.

That was just an example, apply it any question. My point is Massino isn't going to give us a Mob Tour, if he does this, it'll be for money and he will most likely stick to what he already has gone into. If he were to reveal more crimes than those he provided in his debriefing then he's making himself legally liable.

Yeah one of the biggest reasons they wired him up before he met with Basciano at MDC was because he had already been caught lying to the Feds after he agreed to cooperate. And then he failed a lie detector test after that. They couldn’t trust the info he was relaying to them was accurate. And then when you listen to his testimony, the audio quality sucks but it’s clear he was trying to answer questions in as few words as possible. He spoke in a low quiet voice and was reluctant to be expansive. I can’t see Massino being as open as Cantarella was but who knows!Chris Christie wrote: ↑Sat May 28, 2022 5:23 am These are all good questions but something I think we all need to take into account is that Massino was a reluctant informant. We have very little idea of what Massino's personality is like, how charismatic he is, etc. We know he would hold court in Casablanca and had philosophical conversations with his underlings about Cosa Nostra, but in terms of the public who knows.
In his testimony he is very short with answers but that's how witnesses are coached and the law requires that witnesses not elaborate beyond a black and white response to the specific question -- the judge will actually intervene if the witness adds more than is necessary.

B. Ed is not referring to massino on the stand. Reread the above.Amershire_Ed wrote: ↑Sat May 28, 2022 2:50 pm

You clearly are jumping through hoops to minimize/avoid/downplay Massinos credibility.
"We can ignore massino about the Commission from 85 to 91, but after that we should take it seriously....."
"Witnessess on the stand are coached that way..."
You need to stop having a vested interest in Massino and judge objectively.
Because you are not giving an objective impression to this poster. And Sonny loves ya.

I was responding to what CC said about Massino possibly being short and black/white in an interview setting. I wasn't commenting on what Ed said. It's hard to gauge someone's personality from testimony.

Well your post directly followed Ed's and you didnt quote CC.
Maybe when you quote CC in future you could make a letter 'C' with your hand and hold it up to let me know what youre talking about
