A random question I asked myself earlier today: who was the oldest made guy to be killed?

I think when John Gotti Jr. took over for his dad.

He is credited with implementing the murder ban.

I dont know that it was ever officially lifted.

The commission has not been the commission in a very long time.

Its really more a representative from each family meeting every so often to communicate whatever would deemed important policy.

Nicolo Rizzuto Sr was killed three months before his 87th birthday. No idea if he's the oldest but certainly has to be one of the oldest.

Killed in what sense: randomly murdered, targeted in a hit, killed in a domestic dispute, or killed by accident?

If men of honour such as ‘ndrangheta members are being included, then Rocco Zito of Toronto may rank up there. He was 87 when he was shot and killed by his son-in-law in a domestic incident.

Paolo Renda of Montreal was either 70 or 71 when he was abducted -- his Quebec marriage return shows his YOB changed from 1939 to 1938 -- but we don’t know for how much longer he lived, if at all, after the day of his kidnapping.

Joe Di Maulo of Blainville, Quebec was 70 when he was shot and killed.

Domenico Arcuri Sr. of Quebec was 79 when he was killed in a suspicious accident in his Broward County residence in Florida, which was likely a winter residence for his family. We have no evidence he was made, though -- just strong belief.

For NYC, I'm not positive these are the oldest but def up there -- Sam Nastasi was killed at age 79 during the Colombo war and earlier in the week Genovese member Tommy Amato was accidentally killed at age 78.

Long John in Philly was around 75. Might be the oldest there.

Would be cool to see someone map out the data with a graph. At a glance there are many murders of guys through their 60s but a hard drop off once someone hits their 70s.

I was thinking oldest American LCN member murdered by another LCN member or associate. I guess Rizzuto would still count since he was a Bonanno member, right?

Right, and Renda & Di Maulo were also members of the Bonanno Crime Family

That doesn't answer your initial question if you only want Americans, but Antonino Sorci (Villagrazia) was 79 or Antonio Macri was 73 ('ndrangheta boss in Siderno) when they were killed in Italy

Angelo Ciraulo (boss of Ravanusa in Sicily, killed in 1992) and Antonino Mineo (boss of Bagheria, killed in 1989) were both 80 at the time of their murders.

Did Biagio Adornetto and Rosario Bellochi have mob ties before coming to Philadelphia?
