To answer your question seriously -- I'm just providing my opinion -- guys in the Italian underworld in Quebec are psychopaths. In my opinion, Spagnolo is no exception. The ones like him who have ancestry from the Rizzutos' hometown seem to have particularly bad tempers inherited from their progenitors; proclivities to violence have also been inherited.

To be fair, we've read about the victim's testimony -- and only the victim's -- only just today. We have no idea whether the woman with Spagnolo was his wife, girlfriend, or mistress. The woman was, like Spagnolo, also insulting the victim before the stabbing. None of what I've just written in the first three sentences of this paragraph are reasons the judge would use to exculpate Spagnolo, who I don't think will be found not guilty if this case really is cut and dried.

Its dumb to be sure...but I get it. Its street guy shit. Not really logical..... theres a reason the mafia has rules about this shit. Guys get irrational.... I have a buddy from high school ended up doing like 3 years because hes out with some friends, one makes a pass at some guys girl, he gets offended and puffs his chest out, they jump the guy, he almost dies. Silly shit, but dont be talkin to some guys girl and think its gonna be cool..... most times, it aint...

Get the lay of the land before you talk to some broad out in the streets. See if shes with someone, be observant. I wonder what he said? Was he respectful? Or was he tryna be slick?
