Hoping he hits on part 2 of some of those articles like he hinted at before. The blog is better than any book.

Yes and the site has a lot of FBI files posted. It’s a great resource.

Love the new Sacrfo pic.

I don't care that we know all there is to know about the guy, I demand MOAR SCARFO.

Did you guys know that he was an avid chess player and enjoyed reading Jack London novels? Wow!

We talked about Angelo Lapi and his father in the Bonanno thread, JD talks about them here.

https://lcnbios.blogspot.com/2022/04/ge ... lapis.html

Angelo was made in mid 1978.

This is cool. Interesting that the Joe Lapi’s parents came from Scillato and Gratteri, as I believe the Mogaveros may have originated from that same part of eastern Palermo province, though I haven’t looked into them closely (seen some possible matches from both Cerda and Castelbuono, but I’m not sure). Rest of that crew seems to be mainly Calabresi, which is unsurprising given the Mogavero ties to Rocco Pellegrino.

Anyone know if the Altomari (also Calabrese) crew was a spin off from the Pellegrino crew, or did it have its own origin?

There's that wiretap too that suggests Saro Mogavero took over a crew led by Pasquale Del Duca, who died. I don't know much about the Genovese Family but maybe Del Duca took over his brother's crew and it was later merged with the Mogavero/Pellegrino one.

From the posts he's already done it looks like JD is shedding light on lesser-known details related to Genovese crews so hope he keeps it up.
