Henry was in the 1970's and 1980's when their were rules and lots of recruits. The talent pool isn't that deep. Pete is Italian, has family and friends who are made and if he does his time....I bet he gets made. They made Pennisi just because he was Italian and went to prison and didn't rat.

Nowadays if you do enough time, it's almost the Golden Key. There are a LOT of guys (nowadays) who were not earners and not necessarily tough guys until they went and did time, got out and got their button.

As someone else said before, 30-40 years ago the pool was deep and there was a lot of competition. The least little reason was enough, unless you had a really powerful rabbi, to keep you out. Not the same today.

I'd say as long as he doesn't fuck up inside and do anything really stupid, he's a shoe-in.
