Sammy Gravano's Drug Dealing

Prior to the ecstacy bust in Arizona, what was Gravano's activity in drug trafficking? I'm talking Gambino days. Is there any references or proof he was involved in narcotics back then?

In Sammy's 302 where he talks about how Castellano showed him the newspaper with the DeMeo hit to test his reaction, he says it was because he was "close" with several members of Roy's crew. Let's just say that I doubt that he was referring to the pleasures of friendship. I don't remember ever hearing about Sammy being involved with cars like these guys were and I believe the other big thing they had going was drugs. I know Gaspipe isn't the most credible source but usually if there's smoke there's fire and I think a lot of the big earners in all the families were selling drugs on some level. The obvious counterpoint is why wouldn't he just cop to selling drugs when he confessed so many murders and it's hard to argue against that so who knows. Either way he certainly seemed comfortable sliding into the scene in AZ there in the late 90s.

After his convictions ..Sammy was buying in the tens of thousands pills in NY and selling them out west , He brought his son and daughter and 36 other people along for the ride , no reason to believe he wasn't dealing drugs with the Gambinos, IMO

Sammy’s book is great. However, it’s very self serving. All the stories of him helping people. All the stories of how he is the last true believer of real Cosa Nostra. It wouldn’t surprise me one bit if he was dealing drugs or financing drug deals and hid it from the feds and withheld it from his book.
