Not much info about him, I wonder how did he end up with the Lucchese after the demise of Roy DeMeo. In MM he’s viewed as a hanger-on by Montiglio, not a lot of mentioning of him in that book. Maybe he was capable & got hooked up with the twins and eventually got made in the 90s

His crimes date back to 1960. After DeMeo disappeared but before his body was found, Profeta told a friend that “Roy was gone for good” and that he and Joey Testa had “taken over his business,”.. words that got him charged with murder, but the Feds had no evidence of this and he was only found guilty of loansharking and given 12 years. After serving eight, Profeta joined Local 6a of the Laborers Union and was made as a Luchese. In '02 Profeta and Luchese member John Vanasco were charged with racketeering & extortion for trying shake down the owner of a successful fuel company with threats of violence, as well as a Long Island restaurant. They both pled guilty.

- According to Capeci Profeta held an acting captain position by 2008. We know this because he had attended a tape recorded sit-down at that time representing a Luchese member who owed money to Bonanno captain Anthony Mannone. Profeta would be charged along with Mannone, a friend, with extortion.
