Most recent hits for each family

Post by Pete »

Only ones I know off the top of my head are:

Chicago 2006 tony zizzo
Philly 2012 dipetro

Can the people that have the knowledge fill in most recent hits for each of the five families?

So there hasn't been a made member of the gambinos killed in over 15 years or did I miss someone on that list?

Great list. There have been a lot more murders than I had previously thought (even if we subtract the personal beefs).

Original list has 69 listed. Only 40 left after cleaning. Original list is a little too dressed up.

Removed 17 wounded. NOT MURDER. Some of them marked as personal.
Removed 7 Personal.
Removed 1 - Killed by son not really mob related.
Removed 2 Possibles - they both had the ? family.
Removed 2 - 1 no mob connection 1 police investigated mob connection.

Also, removing associates leaves about 15 homicides. I got no idea if the Rochester one was associate or not or even if it should be on there because even 15 years ago some people might say Rochester is not a "viable family".

April 2000 - Lucchese associates Anthony and Charles DiGirolamo shot and killed.
May 2000 - Rochester Anthony Vaccaro (club owner) shot and killed.

It doesn't count as a hit if it's an associate that's murdered?

So on the day you complain about somebody else dressing things up you post a dressed up list of mafia murders and then instead of explaining why this is so you ask a stupid question when I didn't say anything like what you imagined.

In case you couldn't understand I didn't say that it doesn't count if an associate is murdered. However, I would want to see more than just your claims that those guys were associates and they were murdered by the mafia.

Amazing how few indictments have come out of recent hits.

The heck are you talking about?

You said...
Also, removing associates leaves about 15 homicides
So, I was asking why you would remove (or not count) those associates?

And what do you mean by "dressed up?" I think I was pretty clear in that list, specifying personal beefs, etc. I never said every murder there was directly related to mob business. It's a list of just every "hit and miss" that has a mob connection. There was never any intention to "dress it up." And you trying to compare me to certain people who actually do attempt to put forth misleading lists or charts is insulting. If you have a problem with me criticizing those people, grow a pair of balls and just say it. Don't try and invent some false accusation here.

You can also add the May 2003 shooting of the BagelStore Owner. It was ordered and carried out bymembers of the Gambino Family. Certainitly counts as a mob hit. Also 2003 seems to of been a violent year for the Genovese. 5 hits. They for sure havent been shy. I would say even today if someone were to run afoul on them theyd shit their pants

Also anybody want to add '95-'00? 95 seems kind of when the violence was curbed. Give a good comparison for the past20 years.

What can we add to this, knowing what we know now?
Bonannos:
Bonanno associate Salvatore Zottola shot and wounded in July 2018.
Chris Cognata from June-to-September 2006 shot and wounded in four separate shootings, perpetrated by Bonanno soldier Ronald Giallanzo and his crew.

Colombos:
Louis Barbati (in-law of Francis Guerra) murdered in July 2017 (investigated for mob ties, murder suspect doesn't appear to be associated with the Mafia)

Genoveses:
Genovese/Bonanno associate Joseph Bonelli stalked and almost shot in June 2014 on the orders of Robert DeBello and Salvatore Pastore.

Luccheses:
Mafia associate almost killed in late 2012 by Lucchese soldier Paul Cassano and associate Vincent Bruno.
Mafia informer almost killed in October 2016 on the orders of Lucchese street boss Steven Crea Sr. and Joseph Datello.
Lucchese associate Carmine Carini Jr. shot and dumped in a river in September 2017 (non-mob related).
