We need to find out whether Jonathan Massari divorced his wife, as well as what her name is, and whether Alfredo Massari was actually married to Stéphanie Viau or just in a relationship with her, as well as whether they broke up.

Does anyone have any idea what the ‘legal issue’ is that the judge is having to deal with regarding part of the informant’s testimony which means the trial won’t be restarting until the 13th September?

I could have sworn that one of the articles published in the past two weeks, maybe even as recently as yesterday, mentioned the informant's insistence that a particular person was present somewhere on a specific date but that either the prosecutor or defence lawyer argued that was an impossibility because the person the informant mentioned was, on that date, at a courthouse, detained in prison, at a halfway house, or somewhere else altogether. I'm recalling, perhaps incorrectly, that Sgt. Stéphane Malenfant of the Sûreté du Québec contradicted what the informant stated.

It's quite possible that the above information, if even slightly accurate, was stricken from the original article.

I suspect that Quebec Superior Court Judge Éric Downs was trying to figure out what to do about the reliability of the informant's testimony and how adamant the informant was about being right.

It was in an article in the Gazette from the last couple of days. The informant said that an individual was with him for the Sollecito hit, but records show that person was in prison at the time.

The name of the person escapes me, but I Googled it when I saw the article and found that the same person had been arrested with Vincenzo Falduto for drugs about ten years ago.

I'm not really seeing how his testimony is supposed to help his defense here he's admitted to cooperating with the Scoppa group and that he would use a chainsaw and radios to muffle the sound of gun fire. This plus the recordings of Mary-Josée almost bragging about how good of a job they did getting rid of the bodies and her complaining about not being paid yet, it's not looking good for them.
