Normally I would have thought a captain or two would go down with the boss and underboss. What with them being the top of the pyramid and also being in their 80s. That there'd be some middlemen. A buffer if you will.
Probably better off sticking with who you know I guess is the situation here. If I remember correctly 3 of their 6 capos where/became informants in the 2011 indictment so ain’t much trust there
I remember reading the Farese criminal complaint and it looked like somebody down the line with knowledge of the scam was cooperating. Also appears somone within the union is cooperating as well in regards to Vincent Ricciardo
Daily News article has been updated and identified consigliere Ralph DiMatteo as the family's consigliere and one of those indicted. Teddy Persico, Jr., Vincent Ricciardo, and two other as of yet unnamed capos were also indicted.

Street Boss Andrew Russo indicted
Underboss Benjamin Castellazo indicted
Consigliere Ralph Dimmatteo indicted
Captains Teddy Persico Jr, Richard Ferrara and Vincent Ricciardo indicted
Solider Michael Uvino and associates Thomas Costa and Dominick Ricciardo indicted
If we take this at face value it's interesting that the consigliere and two captains we didn't even have listed as members on the Colombo thread in the charts section. So do we know if Ralph Dimatteo is related to the other Dimatteos? Also, kinda thought if Russo went down and a bunch of captains went down that William Russo would have gotten pulled into this.

The whole indictment seems to be based off the infiltration of a Queens based construction union and using it for healthcare benefits and using it to gain favorable contracts for mob owned companies
Ironically the only bonanno seems to be a random guy from a seperate investigation just put into this busy
Ricciardo was on the list. Ralph DiMatteo and Richard Ferrara are new names. Also according to the indictment. Andy Russo is the official Boss now.
Pogo
It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.
Where does this leave Alphonse "Allie Boy" Persico's status then? If Russo is now the official Boss, what the use in a prisoner having the role of an "Acting Boss"?
According to this article the infiltration of this union has been happening since 2001 but only since 2019 did the administration take part in it in an effort to fully infiltrate the union with mob appointed officials
It also claims Teddy Persico Jr was set up to take over as boss once Russo steps down
Ricciardo is also caught on tape about wanting to kill a suspected informant he’s burried himself
Capeci has been reporting Andy Russo as the acting boss for the last year or so. He also did another article where he said the next official boss was likely Teddy jr or Joe Waverly.
