Long brewing crisis of confidence between CPD and Lightfoot (ongoing beef between her and FOP chief John Catanzaro, as well as tensions with CPD Superintendent David Brown). I haven’t seen anything stating that cops are walking out on the job, though. The latest tensions boiled over after two officers were shot (one killed) during a traffic stop in Englewood (a very high crime area on the Southside). When Lightfoot showed up at the hospital, CPD lined up outside turned their backs on her.
