What happened to Mike Caruana?

Hi and this is my first post on this blog.

What did happen to Salvatore Caruana? I think that he was a made guy with the Patriarca crime family who has been missing since 1984.

He was featured on an episode of the series Unsolved Mysteries.

Well according to Flemmi in the book Rifleman p.145 he says that ', ANGIULO had been “knocking” CARUANA for some time, and the LCN was concerned about CARUANA “rolling” if he were apprehended on the outstanding DEA drug indictment/war rant' so it seems that Angiulo disliked him or thought that he was an informant.

I think that you are referring to John Castagna as this article refers to him and his son Jackie Johns as being part of a plot to kill their boss Grasso for the Boston faction who wanted to stop him from trying to have Ferrara killed. Why did Grasso and Ray Jr want Ferrara dead?

ray jr thought ferrara knew to much and was gonna flip. this is 1989 rite when crazy phil leonetti flipped. for whatever reason ray jr thought ferrara would to. i forgot where i read this but thats what happend. i think ray jr wanted jr russo to do it and that started the whole batle between them. i think ray was feeling out guys in boston who would set ferrara up and it got back to him. they flipped the table on them and killed wild bill using bills own ct guys and guys around bill he would abuse. then went to kill rays guy in boston salemme but he lived. but ray got the message.
