His uncle was Giuseppe Ingrassia, an old Gambino soldier in the Garofalo-D'Amico crew (which Ernie Grillo came up in). Not only that, but supposedly Ignazio married his uncle Giuseppe's daughter making him both nephew and son-in-law. Ignazio reported to Jackie D'Amico's decina in the US and had a bad reputation with some of the American members.

I don't. There was a Joe Ingrassia from Bensonhurst who was 48 in 1985, said to associate with Gambino members. His father was also named Joe but I don't know if either one is the same one as the Garofalo crew soldier.

There was also a Giovanni Ingrassia from the same part of Brooklyn who was on the same trip from Sicily as Jimmy DiLeonardo and Andrea Torregrossa. Maybe not a coincidence since DiLeonardo was captain of the same crew Joe Ingrassia joined.

What makes it hard to pin down is the Ingrassias are tied to different parts of Palermo... at least Monreale, Santa Maria di Gesu, and Ciaculli. Maybe Misilmeri too.

His brother Benedetto was capodecina in the Uditore family. Ernesto was probably Passo di Rigano/Uditore too. They are from Torretta originally.

Ingrassia's uncle was a Santa Maria di Gesù member. Anyway n Monreale relation, Ignazio was born there by coincidence but he's palermitano, 100%

Was Ignazio Ingrassia's father Andrea with Ciaculli or Santa Maria? I was reading the maxi trial documents and I thought it said they were both Ciaculli members but it is confusing in some parts. The docs also mentioned a Salvatore and Giuseppe Ingrassia who I think are brothers or relatives of Ignazio.
