Frank Lino
I asked this in another topic, but I once read in another forum that Frank Lino was a crackhead. I've only read or heard this the one time but is there any truth to this?
Re: Frank Lino

Is this is the same Frank Lino who would end up cooperating with the government?

Yep that’s the same fat, ugly looking goofball… never heard of him smoking crack.. but I’m sure he snorted a lot of coke in his day with a big chunk of the other bonnanos who had thirsty noses… T.g, indelicato, coppa ( don’t know how coppa was a cocaine user, the guy was old and legit weighed like 450lbs….)davidf1989 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 18, 2021 4:53 pm Is this is the same Frank Lino who would end up cooperating with the government?

How did Frank Lino make it to captain? How was he in the streets? I know every male in his family joined the Mafia but how did he make it that high up?

I just know a reputable poster years ago on the BB said Lino was a crackhead. I kinda thought maybe powder but I didn't think a made guy would be allowed to run around smoking coke. I believe Sammy Gravano killed Nicky Cowboy and Mikey DeBatt because they got on crack.

Re: Frank Lino
Lino was acting captain for Bruno Indelicato at the time of the three captains' murders in 1981. The day after the hits, he was called to a meeting with Ferrugia, Massino, Sciascia, and others where he was told he could stay acting captain if he got who was with the dead captains to come back in. He got guys like Frank Coppa and the Chilli brothers to come in. The only ones who didn't were Bruno and JB Indelicato, so a couple of months later there was a Commission meeting that confirmed their safety and they were given a list of captains to choose from to be assigned to. They both chose to join Massino's crew.

Thats a interesting tid bit , I wonder what the thinking was behind this choice ... Keep your enemies close? or make money with the more powerful guy? or door # 3 ?
