Just listened to the hootie podcast and Gene says that he hates Ronnie g for “ruining his life” but that he is a legitimate tough guy and that he used to abuse a lot of the gambino guys from Howard beach.
Yeah that was pretty interesting. He's spent a lot of time on these interviews making a lot of his former associates seem like clowns, even trashing Ronnie G at times, but on this one he admitted straight up that Ronnie is the real deal and a solid guy and he's just personally mad at Ronnie for "taking the streets away from him" - at least Gene has the self awareness to come out and admit he has a legit bone to pick with these guys, versus the narrative that some of the others (i.e. Alite) keep alive - where they left on their own because the life had changed and they were the last stand up guys on earth. Hootie more or less has the same stance with Trucchio, but it's weird because in some interviews he paints Trucchio out to be this big pussy, and in others said that Trucchio would be perfect boss material (huge money maker, good leader, took time twice and didn't rat, etc).
You are totally right about Alite. I tried to take Alite seriously but in one interview, he said that he thinks of himself as being more dangerous than Sammy Gravano “by his own hand”. And that he shot someone in front of John Gotti Sr.’s house and didn’t care that it was in front of his house. And how he happened to be driving once and saw a friend of his getting beat with a baseball bat by a group of guys, so he jumps out of his car and shot the guys, like some sort of an 80s action movie.
It’s like when he’s telling stories of things that he’s done, he always portrays himself to be a super tough guy/killer who was always tougher and more feared than his counterparts. I’m going to assume that he really was a tough guy and a killer back in the day, but he exaggerates himself and his standing a lot.

He literally took out a baseball bat on the beginning of the latest episode. I had to turn it off right there

LOL some fan got Gene, John, and the host custom made Louisville sluggers with their names and show logo engraved on it. Unfreaking real.
The *only* reason I tuned in was to see if Gene would address his name being in the news recently, but they started the show off thanking the guy who sent them the bats and thanking fans for sticking up for them to trolls in the comment sections.
Then they started playing these 911 calls from this guy James Cadicamo or something. Apparently he claims to be a street guy and used to be around Junior Gotti’s crew. He’s apparently been talking a bunch of shit about Gene and John. So somehow Alite gotta hold of some 911 calls this guy has made in the past, and they played them I guess to embarrass the guy.
That's hilarious about the 911 calls. I might finish that episode just for that. I keep checking every time they drop hoping its the Frank Pasqua episode or even some of the old Giannini Ridgewood guys that Alite claims to be bringing on the show at some point.
The shit about Alite shooting someone in front of Gotti's house I really can't believe. Matter of fact I have a hard time anybody was shot on that block or any where on those back blocks in Howard Beach ever. If anyone in the history of the neighborhood ever let shots off in residential Howard Beach proper, ever, it was Gene... no bullshit

Gene Borello is a bad kid from the neighborhood, that’s all. He’s going to end up in prison again when this money John Alite is promising he’ll get peters out. You can’t fix stupid, and you can’t get much more stupid then Geno.
In this latest video Jimmy Calandra speaks about his experience in McKean Federal Prison. He had a beef with Gene Gotti there. He says that Gene Gotti didn't like guys from other families. He says that Patty DeLarusso put Gene Gotti in his place. It is interesting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBZeSR_ ... venueStory

I think abt the picture of Alphonse Trucchio with Guy Fisher. If Guy Fisher was giving you props then obviously respect in the joint wasnt a problem.
Italian mobsters are still respected in US federal and state prisons and as long as no one gets out of line there are no problems from anyone. The high ranking mobsters or guys with a lot of money still pay guys to clean their cells, cook, and do their laundry. They seem to cluster in prisons and socialize amongst themselves. You rarely hear about them having issues with other prison groups, because no one bothers them.
Anthony (Gaspipe) Casso started a fight with Salvatore (Big Sal) Miciotta in special prison for federal witnesses on New Years eve 1996/1997. But Casso without a gun was useless and the big Miciotta beated him. Anthony (Gaspipe) Casso, made a billy club out of a rolled-up magazine to carry out a frenzied New Year's Eve attack on 350-pound Salvatore (Big Sal) Miciotta. The fight broke out after dinner as Miciotta, 50, was playing cards with other protected inmates. Casso, "came up behind Big Sal" on an elevated cellblock walkway carrying a tightly rolled magazine in his hands, leaned through a railing and started beating Miciotta on his head. Since this was not a very efficient weapon and Big Sal is a very large man, this did not render Big Sal helpless. Casso, the former Luchese underboss, is only 5-foot-8 and 165 pounds. Miciotta reached through a walkway railing, grabbed Casso by the shirt, pulled him through the railing, and beat the daylights out of Gaspipe until the guards got him off Gaspipe. I think that Casso start the fight because he thought that because he was an underboss and Miciotta a simple soldier,he wouldn't respond to the provocations. Casso thought bad.

I love how a rolled up magazine was the best improvised weapon Casso could come up with to even the odds. Not that I'd want to mess with that maniac in prison.

No it’s not like the goodfellas shit from 30 years ago. Usually mafia guys are fine because they carry themselves the right way. But they aren’t “running shit” in there.
This guy Icwear Vezzo did time in FCI Eclton, Ohio with LCN guys. He says that Italians were respected there. He speaks very highly of Italian mobsters. In this video he speaks about that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txWNOAu ... l=AlProfit
Bro that's a huge detroit rapper.
Huge.
He's the one that even said "I'm with the mafia shit - giacalone"

He mentions that his Italian mobster cellmate had one arm. Gotta be Ronnie one arm Trucchio. The ages don’t match up, but he could’ve been lying to throw us off.
