This was reported in the news of my state. Never heard of the guy. Granted I just moved back to Conn a year ago. But says the father is doing life in prison.

He is the son of Donald Mallay, an old-time associate of some the Westies. There are a few mentions of him in the book. He owned a candy store on the West Side and also worked at the Javits. According to the book, he used to make silencers in the back of his store. Sounds like his son may have been holding on to some old family heirlooms.

I am 99% sure that the article is wrong about the Ronald Mallay in the murder-fot-hire scheme being a relation.
