I still need to read the eBook - I started it but haven't finished it - and I know there was a lot of really weird, almost egregious things that happened in this case, bordering on misconduct (starting with the venue change to White Plains, Pasqua, Evangelista, etc.) - but what I want to know is that if people think the murder wasn't ordered by the Administration and carried out by Londonio, etc. - what do they think really happened? Are there any leads on who actually killed Meldish, and why?
These guys didn't get a fair shake - I think they should get another trial - but if Madonna and Crea made up the Administration, and Crea Junior was a Capo... if all of that is reputed, it's hard to believe that a murder happened to one of their associates/personal friends and they were all left completely in the dark. Just saying
Spot on. We know, ms knows, the gov knows, and they know they all did it.
That’s not in question lol, what is in question is should they be doing life based on that (what we all know) or should they be free based on the fact that, if judicial law was legally applied, they would have got a technical not guilty.
I think on this we probably need to go with adhering to the law, because if we go down the route (if we haven’t already) of the government playing dirty then the consequences are far worse than letting four gangsters out.

bingo
Crea's son isn't part of this appeal. He took a plea deal before trial but wouldn't plead guilty to the Meldish murder and got three additional years. I think he's in for 13. Pasqua had said that it was the son who relayed the order but Crea Jr said he had never met Pasqua and took a lie detector test proving that point. Pasqua never testified at trial.
ms what’s your take on Pennisi now you’ve seen him online a bit more? He’s alright ain’t he? Seems like a good down to earth, conscientious guy?? Are you coming round to him??
Honestly I can’t see how these guys didn’t approve the Meldish hit
A lifelong associate of Madonna gets shot after publicly feuding with him and quote “telling him to go fuck himself” and refusing to pay back a 100,000 loan. And coincidentally gets shot in the head a few weeks later
They got Caldwells DNA in the car, Londonio on the scene in his car (Wtf), Madonna recieving a call from Londonio coincidentally right after the hit. Not to mention Crea jr could not have possibly not know a solider in his crew was on a hit
And about Crea ordering those guys to kill that bonanno guy over a insult does not leave any doubt in my mind he knew of the hit
Overall society isn’t missing much with these guys in jail. And in fact society itself is probably better off with Meldish dead
If anything this whole fiasco would discourage anymore hits in the future
Crea at the very least deserves a new trial. Pennisi was so far removed from that crew idk how the govt can use his testimony. Thinking out loud here- I mean, what, Pennisi had dinner with mutual friends and came across him from time to time and that gets him. Look what they did to Crea Junior too. How many times has he been arrested before this 13 yr sentence?

It's not what you think it's what you can prove. Who's the soldier in cre a juniors crew?

Two days of testimony and wasn't asked one time about the Meldish murder. Crea jr had never been arrested before and yet was held without bail for several months until the judge couldn't hold him anymore because the government was lying about some tapes and other evidence they claimed they had. So, he was released.

Good question. For some reason, nobody ever provides alternative versions about who really DID kill Meldish, not even on a hypothetical level...
"a hypothetical" For you .... They were Morally Convicted VS Beyond a reasonable doubt with many technicalities that are legit reason to get another trial, The Feds abused there power and used Liars caught in lies , The Judge was not impartial ,Anyone the Feds picked could be the Killer with this deck stacked against them ,

What does this have to do with anything I said? I asked who did kill Meldish, according to people who believe the defendants are innocent. What you said doesn't address this question in any way.
People say they think those 4 defendants are innocent, yet when asked who, in their opinion, really did commit this murder, they always change the subject (just like you did) or simply don't answer, pretending not to have noticed the question.

These guys definitely did kill Meldish there’s no way to get around that. Caldwells DNA on the car, Londonio tailgating Meldish, Fucking calling Madonna after the hit. Crea definitely did a part in this as underboss not to mention him being all trigger happy sending Cassano and Bruno to go kill that Bonanno associate
Only thing I’m willing to concede is the informers where some of the worst I’ve ever read about and the fact they had a legally retarded guy informing was hilarious
I can’t see how these guys are anything but guilty IMO
dave 65827 IMO crea sr isnt guilty of meldish murder. and i have a semi understanding of rico. still hes not guilty of meldish murder. the rest i think there guilty. madonna, londonio, and the shooter. it was madonnas associate. meldisg he didnt need to ask crea permission or have any input from him since madonna techinaclly outranks him when it come to calling shots. only amuso can order a murder
only amuso surposely can order a murder in the feds eyes or atleast thats the way it used to be. perfect example chin gigante didnt order big al brunos murder a panel did

I dont know if Crea did order it or passed a message to underlings never saw proof ,I dont know how much culpability they have under RICO never saw the proof , And I dont know if there are alternative scenario's hypotheticals are a dime a dozen
In my opinion , From following this trial , It was one of the worst cases of Federal abuse of power , The Witnesses were at the top of the list worst but I seen worse , "John “JR” Rubeo " is up there Merlino case ,
IM am not saying they didnt do the crime , Im saying they deserve a fair trial let the chips fall ,
No one guilty or not should be railroaded by abuse of a rigged system

Look up Pinkerton Liability which is the charge the judge gave the jurors before they deliberated. It's an addition to the standard jury charge.
