John Jr
When Gotti Jr was acting, who was in his administration? I think I remember seeing Joe Arcuri was consigliere at some point but I'm unsure of that.

Re: John Jr
Also, are there any hits that were ordered by Gotti. I think they tried to tie him in with the hits One Arm was charged with in Florida. What about Frankie Hydell's murder outside the strip club in 98?
Re: John Jr
Gotti Jr was acting boss and a member of a ruling panel. There was no underboss or consiglieri in that time period. Re: John Jr
I dont know if he ordered it, because they were probably greenlighted in unison by a few different families, but he was technically in the top spot when the Uva murders went down, and technically a Gambino capo plead out to it...so its probably fair to say Junior either planned or had prior knowledge of that one, at least.Browniety86 wrote: ↑Mon May 17, 2021 5:43 pm Also, are there any hits that were ordered by Gotti. for the Florida ones, it was even a stretch to tie Trucchio to that, so to tie Gotti Junior to it was a big stretch. Im not too familiar with Junior’s whole ‘career’ though. Between all the trials I’m sure theres some good info out there
Re: John Jr
Off the top of my head - Jimmy Brown Failla, John D'Amico, Peter Gotti, Joseph Arcuri, Nicholas Corozzo, Stephen Grammauta, Louis Vallario all served on it at different points.
The first committee set up by John Sr after he was indicted - John Jr, Peter Gotti, James Failla, Louis Vallario, John D'Amico.
Arcuri may have been consigliere in the late 90s. Massino identified him as the consigliere and DiLeonardo said he was the acting consigliere. It's also stated in his FBI file that he may have served as the underboss at some point too.

Re: John Jr
According to his FBI file, Arcuri served as underboss after Gravano flipped, and also served as consigliere (acting per DiLeonardo) as well as a member of the committee. Capeci covered Arcuri's promotion to underboss at the time and Massino believed he was consigliere by the time he got out in late 1992.
Also important to note is that, according to DiLeonardo, even though Gotti Jr was functioning in the capacity of an acting boss, he was never officially given the title.
Failla, Vallario, D'Amico and Peter Gotti served with Junior on the first committee. According to DiLeonardo, Vallario was replaced by Corozzo after Gravano flipped. Then Anthony Ciccone replaced Failla in 1994. Grammauta gets on a committee spot somewhere in there. Peter Gotti gets the acting boss position in 1998. According to a government chart for 1997-1998 on LCBBios the structure at that point was P Gotti as acting boss with Arcuri, Grammauta and D'Amico on the committee. Then in 1999, Gotti puts together an official administration with Squitieri as underboss and J Corozzo as consigliere. Grammauta serves as acting underboss for a couple of years then retires I believe at the time that Squitieri becomes acting boss.

Yeah I would love to hear a more thorough history of jr somewhere. Sometimes I wonder if he is on the spectrum.

The period post John Sr's incarceration is interesting to me because it's never really covered extensively...

Ciccone was on it? Didn't know this.

Re: John Jr
Gotti set up the committees to help Jr run the family. I believe Louis Vallario was put up because of Gravano then after he flipped he was taken down not long after.Shellackhead wrote: ↑Tue May 18, 2021 9:17 am Was Gotti Sr making these appointments? I wonder what would've happened if Corozzo wasnt busted in the mid 90s. He was being talked up as the future boss and the other families like the west side preferred dealing with him.

CC brought it up here as coming from DiLeonardo. Good thread looking back at it:
