Did Joe Bonnano ever comment on Galante's murder? Do you think Lilo had any contact with Bonnano after Lilo got out of prison and was planning on taking over the commission? Or did their relationship breakdown when Bonnano pulled his move to take over and was banished to AZ? Also, if Lilo was successful in taking over, would he have let Bonnano back into the fold in some capacity? Would love to hear some thoughts!

I could be totally misremembering this, as it was from years and years ago, but I recall reading something about people in NY actually sending word to Bonanno in Arizona about the plan to take out Galante and wanting his opinion on it. From what I recall, he didn't have any objections (not that it would have mattered).

What is that made bonanno so feared...?? He had the smallest family I think at all times...... His family at the time didnt even fully support him.....yet he's still feared?

I thought during his height the bonannos were a large family also the connections to Sicily and Canada could be why he was still feared a little. But if someone like Neil goes all the way to AZ to deliver a message I think it says a lot about his standing even years after his banishment. Great answers guys love the info and opinions!

Right and his cousin up in Buffalo. Wasn't Bonnano head of the commision at one time? His book and the whole fake kidnapping fiasco ruined his legacy, but like i said, the guy was a real pioneer/trailblazer for American LCN

The Bonannos were the third largest in the earlier years. From about the late 1970s to the early 1990s they seem to have been the smallest.

I don't remember who it was but Dellacroce seems the most likely. He was the Commissions point man on that hit.
