It looks like just a comment from GangsterBB. Also "survived" is pretty vague. Could just be referring to how he lived through the time when it happened. I looked again and haven't seen anyone (Massino, Vitale, Lino, etc) identify Mauro in connection to the murders

I believe Mauro was in Sonny Red’s crew around that time so yeah, I think that’s what the poster was referring to, but survived is a strong word to use if he had no involvement.
