Tell me about it. In the last couple of years New York has started declining again very noticeably. Still has a long way to go before it’s as bad as Chicago (and when I go back home to visit, I’m reminded of this fact right away), but gun crime especially has really skyrocketed here compared to recent years. Also, random psycho street assaults, subway fuckery, and racially-motivated attacks (particularly targeting Asians and Jews).

I just had a great lunch at Angelina’s Tottenvilla good food and it’s on the water with a nice view. Definitely a good spot to take the wife it’s just way the fuck out there in Staten Island.

Not sure what your point is. Cities like NYC have a very long history of crime and social disorder? Violent crime is a phantasmagorical preoccupation of twee, hand-wringing bourgeois whites? Or perhaps you have no real claim embedded here and this is just symptomatic of some knee-jerk trollish impulse masquerading as cleverness.Grouchy Sinatra wrote: ↑Sun May 02, 2021 2:04 pm Dearest mother -----
Our train has reached our old borough of Brooklyn and you can rest assured you made the right choice by not coming with us. These Italian, Irish and Jewish immigrants have turned our once humble and steadfast Dutch village into a cesspool of thievery, gun duels in broad daylight and overall trolley fuckery. I will not be coming back.

If it’s the second option above, I suggest spending some time in Mott Haven or Brownsville and asking local mothers how they feel about their children being gunned down in the street, or their elders being assaulted and robbed. Or you could ask working-class immigrants about their experiences being harassed and menaced on the train during their daily hour+ long commutes from the outer boros.

Never been to Angelina's, heard it's good though. For recent Italian in SI, I really liked Fiore di Mare, by Great Kills park. I'm moving back to the Bx soon, so I better get in any SI restaurant trips ASAP.johnny_scootch wrote: ↑Sun May 02, 2021 2:54 pmWhat part of the city you in?JeremyTheJew wrote: ↑Sun May 02, 2021 12:09 pm I need a few address to take wifey bc every thing is 100% changed.

So, posts about how European immigrant crime groups ruined neighborhoods in the early 20th century get removed, but posts about minority crime groups ruining neighborhoods today are okay.

Not sure why it was removed? I don’t see how it violated any forum rules.

I go to Marina Cafe a lot it's right on same block. The tiki bar on the dock in back of the Marina Cafe is a really popular spot too that is absolutely swarming with hot bitches on a nice summer day. Ton's of good places to eat in that neck of the woods....You try Patrizia's on Amboy???PolackTony wrote: ↑Sun May 02, 2021 3:29 pmNever been to Angelina's, heard it's good though. Uhuh. Who exactly do you think bears the great brunt of the recent rise in violent crime and deterioration of public safety in NYC? It ain’t professional-managerial types who’ve largely been able to enjoy the luxury of working remotely during the pandemic and don’t live in NYCHA housing held hostage by gangbangers. Go laugh at some Chinese lady who has to walk around in fear of being targeted by some creep just for being Asian while commuting to her shitty job, or a parent stuck in the PJs because they can’t afford market rate housing on their wage and have to fear if their kid will make it home everyday.Grouchy Sinatra wrote: ↑Sun May 02, 2021 4:46 pmHahahahaPolackTony wrote: ↑Sun May 02, 2021 2:58 pm you could ask working-class immigrants about their experiences being harassed and menaced on the train

Not sure that my wife would appreciate that aspect of the Tiki bar scene lol...johnny_scootch wrote: ↑Sun May 02, 2021 4:52 pmI go to Marina Cafe a lot it's right on same block. I’ve only been to the Patricia’s locations in the Bx. I was actually at the one in Throggs Neck last night, and just realized that they had an SI location when I saw a pic on the wall lol.

How about first you direct me to a link that shows substantiated stats regarding "harassing" and "menacing".PolackTony wrote: ↑Sun May 02, 2021 5:14 pmUhuh. Re: Nyc last day mafia trip
Is your default assumption that Asians in NYC aren’t facing a spike in violent attacks and harassment in public spaces? Do you really think this is not happening, particularly given the recent scapegoating surrounding the COVID pandemic? Is this a position that you really want to defend?Grouchy Sinatra wrote: ↑Sun May 02, 2021 7:53 pmHow about first you direct me to a link that shows substantiated stats regarding "harassing" and "menacing".PolackTony wrote: ↑Sun May 02, 2021 5:14 pmUhuh. Tell me more about the harassment and menacing behavior. What would qualify as these things? Who decides? If a bunch of teenagers get on a train and talk loud, as teenagers do, and perhaps use foul language, as teenagers do, are they menacing people? Reminds me of Bernard Goetz. Teenagers were menacing him so he shot some of them...in the back. Not sure how you menace someone with your back turned....
