Health fraud conspiracy charges were announced Thursday against Thomas Farese, 78, of Delray Beach, Florida; Pat Truglia, 53, of Parkland, Florida; Domenic J. Gatto Jr., 46, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; and Nicholas Defonte, 72, and Christopher Cirri, 63, both of Toms River, New Jersey.

Looks like 2 of the DME company owners flipped pleading guilty and arrests the day after. This is one of the bigger busts money wise in a while too that I can remember besides that whole campos and east coast LCN thing

The two guys jammed up from Toms River lived on the same waterfront street on the lagoon, nice homes rebuilt after Sandy. Jerry Balzano of the DeCavs lived on the same street in Toms River at one point too I believe , small world.....

Not sure if this is the same case but it’s interesting they didn’t mention him as a mob associate. Looks like he had multiple healthcare scams going on

That whole Amato crew seemed like a joke. A captain stalking his girlfriend like some desperate weirdo is definitely an emabarassment for that family. Beyond that I haven't seen any recent Colombo busts where guys were running anything resembling a decent racket, other than this one obviously.

Yeah Amato told him about the GPS and how he had it connected it to his phone and home computer and Pennisi told him he was going to get pinched. He also said Amato told his girlfriend that Pennisi had recently got made. And that girl told the girl Pennisi was dating. So I know they were friends but Pennisi definitely acknowledged that Amato was kinda sloppy. Said he was a major earner though.

Seems a lot of $ to be made in FL if you have some cash, makes sense so many guys are down there plus less LE heat. I wonder if FL goes out of their way to not bring up the mob locally, similar to NJ and the ports. As long as they ain’t killing each other, not many seem to care.
