Was Carlo Gambino's son-in-law Dr. Thomas J. Sinatra made? If so, there's another one.

Ok, so that's who Bronx was referring to. Haven't seen him on any member lists, but this is very interesting:

Second to last paragraph, it says Dr. Sinatra, Anthony Scotto, and Dr. Mario Tagliagambe were placed as executives in the ADL. At this time Scotto was a Gambino member and Dr. Tagliagambe was a Bonanno member, which could lend itself to the possibility that Dr. Sinatra was another member placed alongside them. The next sentence talks about members with no criminal record and good reputations being encouraged to participate, suggesting the FBI suspected as much about the three names mentioned (two of which are confirmed members).

Another reference to Dr. Sinatra, this time alongside Genovese member Dr. Philip Noto:

Both Dr. Sinatra and Dr. Noto received medical director roles for clinics connected to the mafia-controlled ILA.

So we have two examples of Dr. Sinatra being given "legitimate" positions of authority in separate mafia-controlled organizations alongside made members, including two other doctors who are confirmed members of the Bonanno and Genovese NYC mafia families. Did the Gambinos similarly place their own member in these roles?

Whether Sinatra was a member or not, he was certainly carrying out the function of the "mafia doctors" discussed in this thread -- a highly trusted legitimate professional who could be used to the mafia's social or political advantage.

Oh yeah, Frank Desimone's brother Leon was a doctor. Never identified as a member to my knowledge, but highly placed in mafia circles given his father and brother were both boss.

Of course he wasn’t made, but in recent years there’s also the infamous Dr Joe Giacchino, allegedly an Elmwood Park associate and pill mill operator.
Yeah i remember the guy with the earrings and stuff lol
Yes, the same. The kids Tony Catalano (disappeared) and Mike DeFillipis (murdered) back in 2010 were almost certainly part of Giacchino's pill mill operation.

Though I've never met him personally, Giacchino is a longtime acquaintance of a close family member. They knew him as a flashy guy that liked to show off, but had no idea about his apparent Outfit ties.

Here he is palling around with Joe Fosco back when Fosco was still hanging out in Outfit circles:

This book came out from Barricade back in the mid-2000s

https://www.amazon.com/Dottore-Double-L ... B00C0UEJI2

The inspiration for Fox TV’s drama series, “Mob Doctor,” Il Dottore is the riveting true story of a Jewish kid from the Bronx who became a Mafia insider and physician to top NY Mafia dons such as John Gotti, Carlo Gambino, Paul Castellano, and Joe Bonanno. As a result, the doctor led a double life: well respected surgeon and socialite by day, and “Il Dottore,” gambler and sex addict, by night. Welcomed into an exciting and glamorous underworld which included discos, drugs, high-stake gambling and beautiful women, he somehow managed to pursue his true profession seriously and in time, became one of the nation’s leading cardiac surgeons. Eventually, he had to make a choice between loyalty to the mob and killing a government witness on the operating table, or remaining true to his Hippocratic Oath, all under the watchful eye of New York's top federal prosecutor, Rudolph Giuliani.

Anywhere to get more info on Greg Genovese? I’ve read quite a bit on Mary Farrell. His deposition for Cerritos Lawsuit is pretty funny. He basically downplays his open relationships with about 20 high level LCN members describing them as personal friends or friends of his family. The question “Have you ever participated in any ethnic clubs or organizations with them?” Is asked about every person that is queried about. Just wondering if there is any one source that delves into him

Giuseppe 'The Doctor' Guttadauro was released in 2012, didn't serve prison time since then. They seized assets worth 600,000 euros from him back in 2019.(2 construction companies). He is 72 years old , only served 10 years in prison in total, Guttadauro was caught on tape saying mafia funded 2001 election campaign of President of the Sicilian region Salvatore Cuffaro. Guttadauro learned that his home was bugged from another doctor, that doctor was tipped off by Salvatore Cuffaro himself, Cuffaro was sentenced to 5 years in prison later.
