So I have read and watched about everything there is on family from the beginning of Bruno to now. This new indictment is awfully intriguing. The government is doing some usual scandalous bull shit to protect their evidence/informant(s). Now yes we all know that Persians is and was the main rat on this case. However it is starting to look like the government is protecting a second much more credible much more valuable individual. I saw some talk of people mentioning Lancelotti... something tells me they wouldn't be able to keep his status as a rat under wraps still at this point.
Does anyone here have any hunches or ideas of who it could be...the fact the just raided Nicodemo s sr house is interesting. Does anyone have any opinions on what's going around the streets in South Philly?
I'll make an embarrassing conffession i do like to listen. To Jeff lowman... I don't know why but he is the way I first started researching the mafia by listening to his YouTube shows. I've got to think he must or a hunch or guess as to if there is a high level rat he would have a better idea or possible inkling but of course he won't say shit.
Just curious if there are any opinions on here. I thought maybe they'd flipped Servido but I'm not sure what different that would make.
Thanks
Collin

Haven't seen anything to suggest there's another cooperating member beyond Persiano

Re: Sounds like there is a big time rat in Philly...?
I haven’t seen anything besides Persiano but there are definitely low level associates ratting and wouldn’t shock me if another made guys is wearing a wire.
But From what I’ve read Merlino’s inner circle they seem pretty loyal when they could flip and give up everyone instead of doing 15-30 yrs. People have been saying “Nicodemo’s gonna rat!!!” Since he got busted and so far he hasn’t and the same with servido getting 15 yrs at his age is practically a death sentence
I think Merlino’s circle is unique in terms of loyalty in the modern mob if that makes sense. Things could change but it would shock me.They seem pretty old school aside from the fact you can track their movements via Instagram

Re: Sounds like there is a big time rat in Philly...?
I've read all about how tight the inner circle as well and they have every right to look at each other as brothers not only did they all grow up together but they single handedly took on a Gambino backed boss from New York who not only may have also had the backing of the commission he also was twice the age of the young turks. Also the Merino core group lost some best friends in fighting their war and winning it as well. I can't imagine any of these guys flipping but ya also gotta wonder if all the bullshit and illegal moves the government has been using against them in recent indictments if maybe one of these inner circle guys is at their breaking point. At the end of the day I can't imagine looking at either spending the rest of your life in prison or saving your wife and kids the heartbreak while also keeping your fortune if any of these guys have one stashed and riding off into the sunset of witsec.i know that excludes Joey right there with the fortune thing but is it truly honorable to pick your mafia family over your blood family? I think most rats are pieces of shit but every once in a while there is a justifiable case.Dave65827 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 13, 2021 6:26 pm I haven’t seen anything besides Persiano but there are definitely low level associates ratting and wouldn’t shock me if another made guys is wearing a wire.

This next section is personal so don't waste your time on it just an FYI if you think it's dumb.
Sometimes I feel like sal Vitale got fucked over pretty seriously by his brother in law and its hard for me to not find some sympathy in his choice. Now the rest of those captains who flipped can fuck themselves comparatively but the game was over. At the end of the day they chose their blood family and their money while Vinny choose his honor and while he looks great and happy in the can I can't help but only feel for his boys I lost my father at 27 and we owned a family business that had some similarities to a mafia family. And while we enjoyed 55 years of great success and wealth the life and family dynamic took its tole on all of us family members that were involved. My father ended up getting fucked over by his dad and died from a terminal cancer that was attributed to the stress of keeping the business going and expansion for 40 years while my grandpa did all but retire officially. They used me as a pawn and promised me the business upon my graduation from college. As I should of seen but was blinded by the money they did me just like they did dad. Once dad died I worked about 1.5 more years somedays plotting to kill my grandparents for what they did to my father mother and me. In the end I saw the writing on the wall and some retarded guy came and bought the business after my father's death for about 10x the value of what it was worth. I guess all I can say was I constantly felt torn between my parents and doing what was expected of me at the business while my blind loyalty fucked me in the process. Some day in the future I may inherit a small fortune but id take my dad and break away from greedy grandparents like we had so many opportunities to do so neither of us could out of loyalty and while it did take my father's life I very nearly took my own life as the sale happened. Now my aunt who was the favored child who did nothing but make horrible decisions in life killed herself and my grandparents are left with more money than they know what to do with but no family to take care of them except the one grandson they took advantage and stole from . Both their children are dead and I can see the devastation and them finally coming to the realization the money was not worth the treachery they did to their most loyal and faithful family members but its too late now to get their kids back. I act like it's all ok and saved my Nanas life last summer but deep down ill never get over losing my dad. Sorry for the novel their was actually some criminal activity mostly white collar crimes and connections to the outfit is what I meant but in someways I can relate to those that get out and save their families. Oh and my other 2 cousins I worked with one just got out of prison and the other who has a learning business got a clause in the sale of the business that they can't fire him unless their are some extraordinary circumstances.
Sorry for going off on a tangent. I guess I feel like in someways I understand how the inner circle feel..mthey will go down with the ship like I did, but they are all older than me have wives and kids I wish they'd remember their blood family is caught up in this mess as well. Thats all thanks for any responses related to the original question and sorry for the side track.
Thanks if you took the time to read
Collin Sullivan and yeah they named Matt Damon's character off the departed off my first and middle name (my nanas maiden name) too bad my German surname throws off all the irishness my first and middle name have.

Also don’t think it’s connected to lcn at all, but on mayofaces Instagram yesterday or today he posted how some guy Sonny dicreechio got busted by the feds with wire fraud, tax shit, conspiracy, and money laundering of like 7.8 million.. he was the former head of Philly wholesale produce market.... not saying this has anything to do with anything.. but again kind of weird another random Philly Italian gets hit by the feds.

There is no such thing as a coincidence and the families ie: frank Cali launder their money thru these produce business connections. Not sure if the Philly mob is sophisticated enough to get in on an operation like this but would be surprised if their isn't a connection to the Gambinos or Bonnanos and their ties to sicily.chubby wrote: ↑Sat Mar 13, 2021 9:01 pm Also don’t think it’s connected to lcn at all, but on mayofaces Instagram yesterday or today he posted how some guy Sonny dicreechio got busted by the feds with wire fraud, tax shit, conspiracy, and money laundering of like 7.8 million.. he was the former head of Philly wholesale produce market.... not saying this has anything to do with anything.. but again kind of weird another random Philly Italian gets hit by the feds.

Philly LCN has always had their hooks into the South Philly Produce Center one way or another. Uncle Joe got the trash removal contract of the Produce Center for his no show sales job at Top Job Garbage.chubby wrote: ↑Sat Mar 13, 2021 9:01 pm Also don’t think it’s connected to lcn at all, but on mayofaces Instagram yesterday or today he posted how some guy Sonny dicreechio got busted by the feds with wire fraud, tax shit, conspiracy, and money laundering of like 7.8 million.. he was the former head of Philly wholesale produce market.... not saying this has anything to do with anything.. but again kind of weird another random Philly Italian gets hit by the feds.
This particular indictment of Sonny D. stems from when the Feds started poking around at him after George Borgesi legitimately did the LED lighting work at the produce center if you guys recall.

No show job? How many salesman sit at a desk? That South Philly Produce Center contract was a big contract, the owner's son said so himself. Joe was an effective salesman.....
