Yaeh he says I don't want to speak on stuff I have no idea about. I was in jail for 16yrs. I can't speak on it. Just the stuff I read that everyone already knows.

So it's kinda cool he speaks on the stuff he was doing in the last decade before he flipped. I dont get why he isnt afraid now but he flipped because he thought he was in danger. Just should have walked away. I wonder how much money he stole before he flipped....

It is one of the best reference points for news relating to LCN after 2010. Pennisi also doesn't come off like a complete ass like Borrello or Alite.
Agreed. I'm enjoying it too.

He's definitely likable and isn't a blowhard. La vecchia is a bit of doof, but he's tolerable. I can't spend a whole lot of time on hootie's show, his cohost is a fucking mope. Who the hell is he? He sounds like a soccer dad trying REALLY hard to be edgy and its embarrassing.

What I appreciate about Pennisi is his painstaking efforts to not talk “out of school”. If his co-host asks him about something and he doesn’t know the answer, he doesn’t make one up. He just says “I’m not sure on that. I can tell you what I was told, but I don’t know for certain...”

I don’t expect these guys to know every freaking detail about every wiseguy in mob history. It’s refreshing when one of them says “you know I didn’t really run around with that crew, I couldn’t tell ya”. They come off as more credible when they do that.

Yep compared to the other frauds who insert themselves into every story and attach themselves to the big names.

I like the co-host Tom LaVecchia. Way more knowledgeable about the rules, protocol, and history of the mafia than any other interviewer I've seen. Knows how to ask Pennisi the right questions and clarify his answers. Can't imagine asking for anything beyond that.

I was glad to see Pennisi say he didn't know Frank Cali. Would have been an easy way to connect himself to a big name from this era, i.e. "Yeah, I knew Frank. Low-key guy, a gentleman." Speaks to his credit that he didn't take the easy opportunity.

They've been dropping a lot of good episodes lately. Has anyone from this board submitted anything to Tom LaVecchia for the Q and A? It's interesting because the crowd and the Q & A's seem a lot more focused and specific compared to the shit I can imagine someone like Franzese or Johnny/Gene getting.

LaVecchia should have skipped the Kabala question.

I don’t think Hootie cooperated like Alite, Mikey Scars, Borello, etc, but he did play queen for a day and jumped off of a global plea. He says he’s still in the neighborhood several days a week and is cool with a bunch of wiseguys, so it sounds like one of those things where he didn’t get anyone sent up, but he broke a rule that’s an automatic expulsion from the life. I don’t think he’s in danger of getting clipped or even roughed up, but no one is gonna mess with him, especially considering he was a big drug dealer.
