There has got to be a connection there I'm unaware of.

Jimmy Martino was/is a Bronx loanshark who reported directly to Cirillo (when he was "acting boss") in the early 2000s. Jimmy also got indicted in the late 1990s for loansharking. He also had a carting business in Bergen County. I had no idea he drove for Cirillo though.

That would be interesting if there's a connection though. Wasn't there a Frank Martino who was identified as a Genovese associate who was once involved with Anthony Antico's crew ? Is it the same guy?

Brutal turn of events for Capeci's credibility if this is true.

I know firsthand that random internet info can turn out to be right later on and everybody makes mistakes, but if Capeci really is parroting info from Instagram and Pinterest captions that sucks for everyone.

What gets me about Cataldo is there are photos of him with the Romanos and I've seen Carmine Romano's son (doesn't seem like a fake account, but who knows) respond to the Instagram photos praising his relatives (including Cataldo) and doing nothing to challenge the allegations. Cataldo is a real person connected to the Romanos, that much seems to be true, so it's weird someone picked him out of a hat.

You'd think if someone's obscure relative is getting accused of being a high-ranking underworld figure all over the internet they'd challenge that accusation, not just egg it on with praise, but you see the same thing with the confirmed members on those photo sites, where their relatives respond the same way, just saying "Stand up guy!". We can see these people are proud to have mafia relatives but what gets me with Cataldo is that his relative would egg it on if it's a fabrication.

Gravano seems fairly accessible these days, so like someone said, maybe he can tell us if this guy was a Ramper or if he knew him. Gerry Pappa joined the Genovese family, so maybe Gravano could tell us if other Rampers went the same way.
