Johnny Armando (also spelled Armondo) was one of Al Capone's long-forgotten top killers. He apparently was close to Jack McGurn, and assisted him on taking out the people who killed McGurn's stepfather, Angelo Demory, in 1923. According to the Cook County coroner, Armando was responsible for a lot of deaths, including black political candidate Octavius Granady. Armando was a supporter of the Morris Eller political faction and associated with Rocco Belcastro, Rocco Fanelli, and Harry Hochstein. After 1929 he seems to disappear from the record, except for being on the payroll of a Chicago suburb.

Re: Johnny Armando
Thanks Anti.
Armando was also active as enforcer around the old 20th Ward and besides the guys you already mentioned, he was also closely connected to future First Ward power Benjamin Jacobson and Sam Kaplan and it is also possible that he also had close connections to the old Chinatown group under D'Andrea/Roti.
