Makes you wonder why the other families do not follow their example and practice the West Side method of doing LCN.... the way Pennisi described the Bonnano's storming some club. Luchesses making it easy for law enforcement etc...
Another thing that he mentioned in one of the earlier parts is the ranking of families, Westside was 1st ofc... but he only put the Gambino's ahead of the Luchesses because of their zip faction, but he said it was close.
That's clearly bias, the Gambinos and Genovese are miles ahead of the others.
Yeah, I doubt they have 200 members. He dont even know them all, so it's weird he answered that. Hes usually careful about "not talking outta school", or speaking on things he doesnt know. De we believe there were 25 plus soldiers in his crew? Is that right?
This is after he said a capo was talking like they couldnt find guys to make, and he was the future and whatnot...

If there arnt any guys to make, where they get 200 buttons? And since when did they get equal in numbers to the Genovese or Gambinos, or even Bonnanos?

I think the Christmas party he mentioned it were 25 guys with 50/50 guys being made and others associates.
And well to be fair, he did say on Instagram he wasn't sure and he was just taking a guess. Whats surprising to me is how the Bonnano's have more made men than the Luchesses? surely after Massino etc... that family had a rougher time the last 20-30 years?

Maybe John is wrong and it's a Gambino club.
This guy Tom doing the interview on the podcast is pretty annoying. If he mentions Elizabeth and being "italian american" one more time i am going to vomit.
I can't stand the interviewer as he constantly interrupts Pennisi. He's so fuckin annoying.
I have no idea why Pennisi is giving this random clown so much content. I could see him doing an episode and giving him a quick rundown of his time as a made man, hit a couple high spots like the induction ceremony etc but it boggles my mind that he would go into such detail over multiple hours, essentially telling his entire story on this crappy little podcast. He should be putting it out on a platform of his own where he can make some actual dough for it. Now if/when he wants to do that, he's gonna have to either make up some more material or some of his old stories will "evolve" like we've seen with guys like Franzese.

When you look at it you would think the Bonnanos would be low but they made so many guys under Massino and then after he flipped that they've managed to keep their numbers up.The FBI listed 130 living members in 2014 (not including rats) I would estimate they are around 140 now.
Franzese mentioned that in the 70s they had around 750ish made men among the five families in NYC. So if we are going by the numbers now in 2020 from all five families... they aren't that far off from that peak number? if the gambinos and genoveses each have around 200, and then the other three added up to that total.

They sure couldn’t find guys to make. They made him. A made member of the Lucchese crime family working a 9-5 job and seemed to have no scams or illegal businesses. He should have worked at Little Al’s hamburger stand.
I see a lot about him working a 9-5. Every OG or person who is in a leadership position should be pushing the appearance of or really having a 9-5. This is common sense. Appearances.

Pennisi said the Lucchese family has 200 members!?! Did he really say that? I must have skimmed past that part. Seems odd he would say that because he also says they have 7-8 soldiers per crew and a total of 8 crews. Saying both of those things don't jive.

The Bonanno's have always had more slots then the Lucchese family. The Bonannos would have to shrink by almost a third to be equal to a full power Lucchese family.

I think he genuinely needed to because he didn't earn enough illegally
