What kinda time is Perna gonna do? Says he faces 20 years but there’s no way he gets that much.

Michael Critchley, Manzo’s attorney,
didn't he represent Mike Perna in the Boys from NJ trial?

I'm going to guess he gets about five years.

So is the crime he gave him a discount for the wedding to commit the assault? Because i can't see how giving him a discounted wedding a crime itself

Does anyone know who the person is that went with him is? It seems to be the only other person that could have given info.
Re: soldier admits attacking husband of former ‘RHONJ’ star
I agree he only ends up serving 18 mo or so a
I get they have a hard on for Perna but how does a 5 year multi million + investigation for an assault charge make any sense for taxpayers ?
The govt needs to start pinning these guys with more serious crimes than gambling, loansharking or simple assault to justify the tens of millions they spend on LCN while gang units and DEA beg for more resources

As part of the plea agreement, New Jersey federal prosecutors agreed to recommend a sentence of 28 to 30 months in prison.

How was that “in aid of a racketeering conspiracy”? Was there something else in the indictment?

This.
What a joke. Five year investigation for an assault charge.
Think of the million better cases these resources could’ve been better spent on. Absurd.

I also agree with the bloods and crips fist fight post.
I think it's very strange that between this and philly bust that there is so much focus is on "gangsters" right now , while street cops are being told to stand down as other "gangsters" are running wild. I feel like there is more to this or it's just the way to get rid of this asap.
is it possible that whoever gave the info here could have given info on philly? They were def tight with the pernas. Someone posted that this has been under investigation for years. it's a long shot but just has me thinking.
Maybe perna is taking a small hit to make this all go away or was asked to take the hit ro make it go away. it's all fishy to me.
What's going to happen to the guy gave him the discount? Is it considered a payment or was he approached for the discount?
If it was a murder for hire.....
