TG Graziano Crew ?

Post by Manhattan_ »

After TG’s his fall from grace due to the show Mob Wife’s and his rat ex - Son in Law - Hector Pagan what happened to the members of TG’s crew ? We’re they shelved ? Or absorbed into other crews ?

I wouldn't think that members of his crew would be shelved along with Graziano. According to Pogo, John "Porky" Zancocchio took over the crew after Graziano was shelved.

I do wonder now if he ever got off the shelf?

He had a pretty large crew. Santora, Zanocchio, Sclafani, Mannone, Palazzolo, Sammartino and Loiacono would all be identified as Capos or Acting Capos over the following years so this crew was most likely split up.

Here is a breakdown of his crew in 2002 that JD put together.

beginning of 2002):

Captain: Anthony Graziano (60y)
- William Riviello (64y)

Soldiers
- Joseph Benanti (68y) (IP; FMC Devens)
- John 'Boobie' Cerasani (64y)
- John Cicala (44y)
- Peter 'Petey Box-Cars' Cosoleto (55y)
- Fabritzio 'The Herder' DeFrancisi (32y) (IP) [Can anyone find solid info that he got made before being jailed?]
- Edward Felline (60y)
- Anthony 'Bruno' Indelicato (55y) [Transferred to Basciano not longer after]
- Joseph Loiacono (47y)
- Stephen 'Stevie Blue' LoCurto (41y)
- Anthony 'Tony Elmont' Mannone (58y)
- John Palazzolo (65y) [Formerly under Tartaglione, believed transferred after Tartaglione jailed in 1998]
- Armando Rea (50y)
- Pietro 'Pete Rose' Rosa (56y)
- Joseph 'Sammy' Sammartino (48y)
- Anthony 'Scal' Sclafani (56y)
- John 'Porky' Zancocchio (45y) (IP)

Some of his former guys included:
- Arthur Franconeri (Died 2001) (NJ)
- John 'Big Head' Arcaro (Died 2001)
- Nicholas Santora (60y) [Might have still been with Graziano]

Thanks. Just from reading Mob Over Miami, I just took it that Benanti worked directly with Spero. Didn't realize he was under Graziano. So were the Bath Avenue guys(Gulino, Calco et.al) technically under Graziano's crew? It just read like they answered to Benanti and Benanti answered to Spero. And just to be clear, the William Riviello listed, is this the same one that Pistone listed as running the Harlem numbers racket for Nicky Marangello back in 1977? If so good for him. He was pretty young.

Yes Riviello was running a numbers operation in the 1970s at the time he was made.

Jesus christ.. that's a huge crew. At his prime TG must have been making some big cash. Lot of things are out of his control but you can help but think he's somewhat responsible for dropping the ball with his kids and how fractured his family life is

I always thought of it as Benanti dealt with the kids directly, and in turn reported to Spero. I always thought TG came up under Spero and at the time of the "bath ave crew" TG was reporting to Spero just like Benanti. IIRC , Benanti was really only close with one of the bath ave kids, the one who got made, where as the others didn't have much involvement with him or Spero at all

They were under Anthony Spero but Benanti was the go between.

This is a good story about them that Ed Scarpo wrote.
