Learned from the forums so far that not only the Sicilians trusted him but apparently Gotti and Gravano liked him as well.
Any info on activities, early life, etc?
Any info on pre-prison Lorenzo Mannino?

How much contact could Gotti and Gravano have had with him? Mannino was a twenty something year old Associate outside of their immediate crews when they were taken off the street.

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

Mannino was present at a meeting on 18th ave when Gotti promoted John Gambino. Gotti sent a group of captains including Gravano, Frank LoCascio and Joseph Corrao to deliver the news and lay out policies.
