Wasn't Andy Gerardo alleged by some on the old board as boss of the family material?

Shellackhead wrote: Thu Nov 26, 2020 2:27 pm This has probably been posted hundreds of times but I was watching this report on Ruggiero “The Boot” Boiardo and I wanna know more info about the history of the crew, so since Willie Moretti or even before until it’s decline/demise in the 2000s or whenever it was. Anyone has any information on it?
Other Genovese crews would break off from that crew, which is still in existence. Below is the timeline from Pogo's 5 family crew succession thread for that particular crew.

Moretti-Catena-Boiardo Crew:
Quarico "Willie Moore" Moretti (Mid 1930s-1951) Killed.
-John “Padre/Duke” DeNoia (Late 1940s-Early 1950s)
Gerardo "Jerry" Catena (1951-1957) Became UnderBoss.
Ruggiero "Richie the Boot" Bioardo (1957-1984) Died.
-In the 60s the Crew was split between Bioardo, Angelo "Gyp" DeCarlo and Eugene “Gene” Catena.
-Anthony “Tony Boy” Boiardo (1960s-1978) Died.
-Andrew “Andy Gerard” Gerardo (1978-1984) Became Official Capo
Andrew “Andy Gerard” Gerardo (1984-1990s) Stepped Down.
-Thomas “Pee Wee” DePhillips (1987-1990s) Became Official Capo.
Thomas “Pee Wee” DePhillips (1990s) Stepped Down.
Andrew “Andy Gerard” Gerardo (1990s-2000s) Retired.
-Silvio DeVita (1990s-2000s) Became Official Capo.
Silvio DeVita (2000s-Present)
DeVita has to be up there in age by now, right? High 80s at least?
He's 89.
Is DePhillips alive? I can't find any information on him at all.
He's still alive and a capo. He was mentioned in GL a month or two ago.
Back to Garcia: His stepfather, Silvio DeVita, a Genovese capo, never worked on the waterfront. He does have a lengthy rap sheet including a conviction for first degree murder during a robbery back in 1951, two years before the bi-state WC was created. DeVita was sentenced to death, but his conviction was reversed on appeal. At retrial in 1958, DeVita was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison. Released on parole in the 1970s, he's managed to steer clear of any prison stretches since then, although the FBI still carries him as a powerful capo in the Genovese family.

Sources say two DeVita crew members, soldiers Salvatore and Joseph Cetrulo, have four relatives working on the New Jersey docks. And their niece, Michele Caruso, is the wife of Genovese capo Stephen (Beach) DePiro, who was convicted of being a Cernadas partner in a 30-year-long shakedown of Christmastime "tributes" from 1235 members that netted about $3 million for the crime family.

DeVita, 88, and father-in-law Al Cernadas, 85, are both barred from gambling at New Jersey casinos by the state's Gaming Enforcement Division.

Cernadas's daughter Lana, who married DeVita after her first husband Anthony Garcia died, worked as a Local 1235 secretary for years, according to WC records.
I meant Peewee DePhillips.
He died a long time ago. He was sick when they indicted him the last time. I cant remember if he died before trial or in prison. But he was not well healthwise even when Andy retired to FL and Peewee took over. Andy had the best run in LCN in my opinion. He made allot of money. He did very little jail time. He was sent to state prison and George Freslone took him under his wing in State Prison. He got out a short time later and retired to FL . He spent many yrs in FL retired. Lived a Long life not in a jail cell.
Andy died in like 2012! Lotta good years in Florida. Almost like Jerry.
