It’s one thing to get caught on a wire discussing criminal activity....it’s another to get caught on a wire essentially celebrating your criminality, which is what Servidio did. That doesn’t leave you any wiggle room when it comes time to ask for a lesser sentence. Who knows, maybe the judge would’ve slammed him anyway? But the stuff he got caught saying probably gave the judge a little latitude to hit him harder.
