I dunno if there's anything or anyone to report on recently, There's not much Street activity and no one is being indicted or arrested for anything . It's really a dark time for LCN , They really have went underground the last few years
Actually there's a lot to report on, a lot is being reported, also by Capeci, who's actually having a good run the last couple of years.

And to say that LCN has gone underground the last few years, well, that's kind of the point of being LCN, isn't it?

To say there are no arrests and indictments, well, that just means either you are blind or straight up trolling.
Trolling ? No ! Blind ? No ! Just giving my opinion ! I'm not debating here , Ok , More Underground than in the recent past . I didn't say there were no arrests or indictments , Isn't that what we're talking about here ? There are less than in the past obviously . If you look at Gangland news archives over the last 25 plus years the amount of news he's reporting on today and recently doesn't add up to 20 or more years ago where you had more cases and more indictments with many more people and a boatload of crimes , The drop-off is very steep and the news to report has dropped off significantly

Yeah I'm answering part of my own question. I found these listed in "Gotti's Boys" by DeStefano(it was okay). But I'm wondering if there are others I'm missing:

197?: Anthony Miano
1982: Miachel and Nicolina Lizak
1984: John Cennamo
1985: Paul Castellano, Thomas Bilotti
1986: Augustus Sclafani
1987: William Ciccone
1989: Fred Weiss
1989: Thomas Spinelli

Damn that looks like a lot. Am I missing any? Or should some not be there? The Cennamo one is pretty sketchy. Even if that was an actual murder, not sure that Watts would have done that with the Gotti crew at that time.
Off the top of my head, Watts was also a shooter in the 1980 murder of Vito Borelli and got rid of Louie Milito's body when he was killed in 1988

the Weiss murder was the dumbest shit ever. i understand that these things are “best” done in teams, but how many damn people were involved in that? and for what? look at what it cost

on another note does anyone know what crew that Chierchio is in? it seems like hes a sharp guy. i believe hes not being let out of a lease...luxury rentals are taking a huge hit and they’re not trying to have anything sit vacant right now. seems like hes a world class financial manipulator though

I wonder how Chierchio got involved with this lawyer and his lottery scheme in the first place. Was the lawyer an associate of Chierchio, or did the lawyer bring him in for some reason once the scam was already going?

One could say the same thing about all the people involved in the Castellano hit. A lot of moving parts in that one and so many things could have gone wrong.

Fair point, but Weiss was a relatively minor hit. One would think it wouldn't involve so many people. The Castellano hit since he was a boss was more akin to the Galante murder where a hell of a lot of Bonannos were involved in it. So I get that. That's also I think an intentional statement. Not smart, but I can understand it. Especially before the constant FBI-RICO pushes in the late 80s.

Yeah stepping back and thinking about it, the Castellano hit was straight up ridiculous.

They got Weiss coming out of a residence, and they got Paul +1 coming out of a busy Manhattan restaurant during the busiest time of year, one of the busiest areas, and the busiest time of day... lmao.

But it still seemed like the Weiss hit had way less of a Return on Investment and much more of a negative impact on more people, overall. Wasn't there someone from the DeCavs, an Associate, who opted out of the Weiss hit before it even happened?

It'd be fun to go through and compare the two. It would take a lot of re-reading from different accounts, but to compile list-by-list of people involved with both hits. Loosely defining "involved" as people who were even just consulted/informed before the fact. Going off what I remember in various books and testimony from DiLeonardo, Rotondo, Gravano, etc. and it seems like there were MORE people on the Weiss hit versus Castellano... which is crazy

There might be something to what Mikey Scars is saying about Watts. The rumor is he controls his tier in the can. He puts out a lot of money to his cellmates to do errands for him. They say he never goes to the mess halls as he has some type of goodfella deal with the hacks on his cell block where inmates cook for him using the guard's kitchen. He has been very respected by both the inmates and hacks while doing his time. I believe the tight relationship with Gotti, Sr that Watts had did not extend to the Gotti, Jr.

In Grvano's book at the end it has Watts doing a proffer. He also buys his lawyer F. Lee Bailey ten brand new Brioni suits.
