I'm convinced this meeting was about Carlos expanding his tomato sales into the northeast. Nothing more.

Carlos told me himself. He don't know nuthin bout no mafia. Just t'mata sales are up 80% from 1965.

Im not saying your wrong, I was just wondering if there was info out there. Something like that does make sense. So he was in the tomato sauce business? Did he end up expanding sales in the Northeast after that meeting

I believe in the Kefauver hearings of the 1950s, he indicated he was a $1,600 a month "salesman" for the Pelican Tomato Co. of New Orleans.

I believe he also owned the company. I also have read their biggest client was the U.S. Navy.
