Mentioned this in one of the Asaro threads, but Mickey Zaffarano had taken out a $100,000 loan from Vincent Asaro which he paid off before he died. Asaro, however, lied to Zaffarano's son John after his father died and said it had never been paid off. The Zaffaranos refused to believe their own relative Asaro would lie to them, so they paid off the loan a second time. Lying aside, it shows John Zaffarano understood it was his responsibility to pay the "debt". John Zaffarano however was a low-level associate who inherited his father's lucrative porn business and properties, so it may have played out differently if he had been a bus driver.
