the Rudaj organization had more Greeks in it than Albanians so im thinking that was the new generation of greeks in oc.I think they called it the Rudaj because it fit the media narrative of Albanians being the new breed in NY crime even though Coletti an Italian was the real leader.John Alite said he is friends with Spiro Valentzas son and he is going to bring him on the podcast,so hopefully he does it will be interesting to see a different ethnic crime gang talking about their experiences

That's not the case at all. Rudaj's guys were all Montenegrin, Albanian, Yugoslav....whatever they happen to be calling themselves that week. They shook down Greek clubs in Queens, and even Italian ones in the Bronx. Collotti was originally a Gambino associate, but when his rabbi Skinny Phil died, he wound up in trouble with his new boss Joe Gambino. Collotti and some other guys gave a beating to some actually made Lucchese guys on Morris Park...he went to Joe for support and Joe told him "you wanna be a wiseguy with wiseguys? You know the rules, now you're on your own". So he set up shop with Rudaj and their alliance while profitable in the short term, went down like a ton of bricks in the end. The entire story has been covered dozens of times both on the old board and here on Black Hand.
In Philly the Greeks were more of a group than an organized family, but the heads were Harry Peetros and Stevie Bouras were both LCN associates in big in drugs and also gambling and shy. They were big in Southeast Philly SouthWest Philly and Delco. After Stevie and Harry were knocked off, George Botsaris was the main Greek guy and did alot with the Scarfo guys. One of his son's is said to be active and the other has a BBQ place on South Street. There current head of the Greek faction in Philly is actually kind of high-profile and used to kick it with Merlino and the Young Turks in the 90s his name is the Vegas Greek his name is Gianni Karalis and the whole family is connected there's like three brothers. There's like a half dozen of them nowadays and some of them are still active in Delco.

Greeks were working with the Gambinos specifically the Ralph Mosca crew in Astoria. Mosca was partners with Spyredon Fioravantes and he used Mosca's crew to enforce territory. Fioravantes later turned informant.
As a Greek, I would find it hard to believe there were many Greeks working under an Albanian, and majority Albanian crew. They both despise each other. But money transcends boundaries.
interesting story...there was a greek soccer club/social club that popped up in ozone park on 107th st and rockaway blvd about 7 years ago maybe, they were open about a month before vinny asaro went in and threatened them, i heard he was on rockaway blvd with a .357 and these guys were terrified. the place shut down right after and was gone
