From Vitale's debriefings that B. posted up. Backs up what Massino was saying about only receiving tribute from some of his captains.
- Vitale says that a family leadership position doesn't automatically receive money. He says most of the money family leaders make is through their own operations and businesses (legal and illegal) and that they only occasionally receive a cut from scores that gets kicked up. He says "it's not all trumped up" like outsiders would believe.
It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

Re: Boss Earnings
This poses a new question how often do the soldiers kick up to the skippers then??
Re: Boss Earnings
Of course we have other accounts, like Castellano and Gotti for instance, who appeared to take money from all their captains. The public didn't just come up with the idea out of thin air. That said, I imagine it depends on the family, boss, time period, and other factors.Pogo The Clown wrote: ↑Sat May 09, 2020 8:16 pm From Vitale's debriefings that B. posted up. Re: Boss Earnings
In 2013, Frank Cali's legal business and real estate reportedly amounted to $30 million. Add to this the income he earns from illegal business, hidden real assets such as cash or gold bar, and borrowed-name real estate or business, and he will have about 1.5 to 2 times the wealth of $30 million. He also owns a huge estate in the Dominican Republic, where he sometimes spent his vacation. The mafia leader's wealth is enormous, but it is no match for big business managers. The reason mafia leaders are really afraid of is not money but their power and influence.

This was your first post & The Site you referenced is an unsecured Site that has nothing on it which tells me what you said sounds like the usual big bullshit exaggeration about these guys. You have no idea how many other people were involved with what he supposedly owned and when he died, I guarantee you, all those partners took it over. The big huge exaggeration usually turns out to be about 5% to 10% of what is stated.jmjm 02311 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2020 8:56 pm In 2013, Frank Cali's legal business and real estate reportedly amounted to $30 million. Re: Boss Earnings
In Anthony Arilotta interview at 4 mins he goes into how he had made millions.
Idk if he's just tryna brag... But if a captain can day millionS (plural) I'm sure bosses can easily pull a mill a year.
